Guest guest
And I'm not refering to a "spiritual fire"! I think I'd like to share this story and it probably won't be short, so I'll give you a quick over view of topics it'll touch on so you can know whether you want to proceed with reading it. Numerological significance of the #13/ Planetary phases/ element of fire/enviroment mirroring consciousness/the appropriate use or misuse of power and an expansion of consciousness.I also need to share a little info about myself to connect the dots in the story. I was born on a Tues. and Tues. is ruled by Mars energy. I'm also in what's called my Mars phase in my yearly cycle. (read Gurunam's Lifting the Viel for info on this). Having Mars energy as a strong influence in my life means that when I'm acting unconsciously I can come on like a "Kling-On Warrior" whether it's in my speech, my approach, my actions, my emotions etc. Fire Energy! In other words lacking all subtlety! Last year when I was in my mars phase I had a fire in my home based clinic. I had plugged in a space heater and not paid attention to where the cord was and it was touching the back of this metal heater. Usually I walk out of the room and let it warm up. That day I stayed for some reason and was witness to the fire! The cord had melted and a live wire was shooting flames up my wall. My point is I had a "live wire" fire in my mars phase last year. Yesterday, Fri 13th, I'm teaching a class, we're about 10 minutes into it and we've just finished a pranayam exercise and I hear this loud BOOM! I open my eyes, the lights have gone out and I see big sparks/flames shooting over top of a participants head. Meanwhile I'm thinking I can't beleive this is happening again! We actually had a fireman in the class, so he gets up to check it out. Then I notice i had placed my CD case on top of the extension cord for the lamp, as I have been doing for the past 6 months (space is at a premimum in this studio). I pick it up and see the burnt cord and the rug burned. (To a T this is flashing back last year for me) This is where it gets a little ubsurd, The fire, man picks up the "live wire" and shocks the heck out of himself and once again we have fire works. Okay we get it settled start the class again, it's finally all calm and THEN, the fireman lets out a heart stopping yelp and the whole class goes into turmoil again. Turns out and old ankle injury "broke free" and although he had extreme pain for that second he reports to the class "Hey! I can can now sit in easy pose without ankle discomfort!" Meanwhile I'm thinking this has turned into a three ring circus! I think the shock he sustained knocked his ankle restriction loose! Anyways, when things get this chaotic, I smell God! So I'm thinking what's the significance of all these coincidences? Fri 13th, the # 13 relates to understanding the power of the spoken word, betrayal and the need to develope huge compassion and tenderness. Over the past year, I've become aware that this "fire" energy that I relate to serves a purpose in my life that isn't chaotic when I work with it consciously. Ex) inner anger becomes the fuel for transformation, in the healing realm it gives me access to huge supplies of healing energy or light. Where I'm most unconscious with it is in my everyday dealings with people. I realized that I had 2 fires of the same nature during the same phase and both had been due to the unconsciousness of my actions. When Avtar and I were briefly discussing the responsibilty that comes with power, I realized that I need to fully be aware of the power of the words I speak. In a more symbolic view, the words represent energy, vibration, my actions etc. Long story short, I realized there is a call to awaken my consciousness around the power of the element fire and to be very conscious of how I work with it. Cause if you're not, unconsciously, You'll go around starting forrest fires everywhere! I think this Fire requires the tuning in to the subtlety of things and situations which is my path # in Numerology (the subltle body). I'm leaving for winter solstice in a few days and I hope to make head way on the struggles I've been sharing with all of you the last few weeks. Have a blessed and Joyful hoiday season!
