Guest guest
Gordon, I too tried to find Black Chanas and finally found an on-line source. I asked for two bags of Black Chanas and they sent Kala Chana. I am under the impression that this is not black chanas, but rather Chanas that have been roasted to a dusty brown color. Is this correct? Now I have 4 pounds of Kala Chana that I am probably not going to use because I don't have any recipies for them. I guess what I am saying is that I asked for "Black Chanas" and they still got it wrong. If anyone finds a reliable source for Black Chanas in the Atlanta, GA area, will you contact me off the list? Thanks, Sat Nam, Mary P. >>Where are you that they don't Black Chanas (Garbanzos) in an Indian >>grocery? They are a traditional. They may only know them as Black Chanas. _______________ MSN 8 with e-mail virus protection service: 3 months FREE*. http://join.msn.com/?page=features/virus&xAPID=42&PS=47575&PI=7324&DI=7474&SU= http://www.hotmail.msn.com/cgi-bin/getmsg&HL=1216hotmailtaglines_eliminateviruse\ s_3mf
Guest guest
Kala means black. Kala Chana and Black Chana are the same. They are not roasted but are reddish brown naturally. Atlanta???? Who do you know down there? Mary Payton wrote: > Gordon, > > I too tried to find Black Chanas and finally found an on-line source. I > asked for two bags of Black Chanas and they sent Kala Chana.
