Guest guest
As to your question: What does KY have to do with cold showers? It's part of a suggested early morning ritual prior to Sadhana. It is a vigorous rubbing of the body under a cold shower in order to get the blood circulation to come up to the surface from the core and when you step out and begin to warm up it goes back to the core giving the internal organs a flush, which then apparently stimulates the glandular system to secrete. So it's a daily glandular tune up! If you want more info on it look back through these emails about 2 months ago, that's where I found the info on it. (Although I've been practicing KY for awhile, I've avoided cold showers up until now). Second question, although Deva already responded, I'll just add what I know to it as well. Why say Sat Nam/Why say Nameste? My understanding of the word "Nameste" is The Divine in me bows to the Divine in you. (Someone correct me if I'm in wrong in this). So it's a reverent greeting to another. To me "Sat Nam" has a little more "Kick" behind it. It is like, Nameste, a recognition of the Divine light within another, but it is also a mantra. When mantra is repeated over and over again it gives you the experience of what the mantra means. Sat Nam...True indentity/True Reality (recognition of the God within) Mantras given from the 10 Sikh Gurus in the last 500 hundred years have a special importance to us, now in these times. These mantras are specific to carrying us through to the dawning of the Aquarian Age. So when you say "Sat Nam" to someone, it doesn't mean, Hi or By, or can I have your attention please? like we sometimes see it used... Sat Nam resonates in the heart center, it reminds you of your essence and it helps you to see through the viel of another to recognize the essence of their soul and to deeply connect with them in that moment. So when you say...Sat Nam... look the other person in the eyes...and from the deepest part of your heart...say Sat Nam... ....Sat Nam... P.S. I love the Golden Bridge! I visited there awhile back and loved it. I felt like I was re-entering the womb! Lots of female energy/nuturing etc there. Enjoy!
