Something just came to me in terms of an explanation for your hands

going to the 2/4th chakras after the Sa Ta na ma Meditation.

 

During healing, intuitively, or sometimes more directly I'll be

guided to place my hands on the chakras or body in some way and it's

usually an infusion of energy and a raising of the energy to the

higher hand.

 

There is a relationship between 2nd and 4th chakra in terms of the

2nd being the home of the raw sexually energy/desire and the

transmutation that occurs of this energy if it raises to the heart

center and then becomes the soul's desire. Desire that rises up

into the heart and then is projected through the heart center is

desire that will be soul promoting. Desire that stays in the 2nd

chakra will remain unsatiated. (addiction/compulsion stuck in a

circular pattern of want and unfulfillment).

 

So, Sa Ta Na Ma connects you to your soul and thus the desires of

the soul. So my guess would be that, like you thought, your hands

were being guided in some way to those areas to make this connection

between desire and heart or that your hands became the instrument of

a self healing process.
