Guest guest
Sat Nam Sangeet Kaur, Dominated the airwaves? When I first came to the group I expected to find airy fairyies who talk about the unattainable all day. However, you, Gururattan, along with a few others proved me wrong. You made certain things (like cold showers) more approachable. You broke down a lot of stuff for people in a way that makes someone want to--for instance--practice the Kirtan Kriya. Your energy is extremely nurturing and feminine. Although I am a woman I had to learn to get in tune with my feminine side. I acted "womanly" however I was not humble. I thought humility was a negative thing. I didn't understand as I do now that to be humble is Tao. It is to be open and flexible. It allows us to become the Masters of Change. When we supress energy, we are going against The Way. It makes us hard and stiff. The race is certainly not given to the swift nor to the strong but to he or she who can endure. And, how do we endure? We endure by mastering Change. We master change by letting go, opening up. You are definitely on to something by discontinuing the supression and allowing yourself to transform. I believe Gururattan said in so many words that if we don't do the work ourselves on the inner levels then we naturally give over the right for Nature to do the work on us, for us on the outer levels. When I talk to my friends about this group it is you that I talk about the most because your sharing helps to make the group what it is. I love it when I meet a person whether on the internet or in person who's not holding it all in and afraid to be him/herself. I often find that many people on the "spiritual" path are lacking people skills. It isn't worth much if someone can astral travel, read minds or even heal but lack the ability for interconnection. These gifts of the soul are natural concomitants of deveoping the psyche but empathy is even harder to develop. You are definitely a nurturing soul. It is refreshing to go somewhere, anywhere and find someone who is open, freespirited and not holding back. So, even when you are not contributing as much to the group (and I hope that is never) your insightful comments will be missed. I am getting ready to register for classes again and will have a full load as this is my next to last semester. However, I will make the time to read the inspiring messages from this community of light seekers. Bless you, Toyb
