Guest guest
Sat Nam Avtar, If you want to do the Divine Mother meditation as found on pg 141 of Transitions to a Heart Centered World, which is what I am doing now, here's another old post of mine. I put the directions in my own words. The only other DM meditation I know of is on pg 141 of Relax and Renew. These meditations both came indirectly from YB. And anyone else. Divine Mother is on pg 141 of Transitions to a Heart Centered World. There are 2 meditations. The first is 31 minutes, and 3 parts to it. In part 1 meditate in easy pose on the 'infinite energy' swirling out of the Divine Mother, coming from infinity going to infinity, I usually meditate on something from GRK's book 'The Destiny of Women', this lasts 9 minutes. The 2nd part of the first meditation, sit in easy pose or a chair (feet flat on the floor), raise your arms and cup your hands as though you are looking through a pair of binoculars (they should be seperated 4-6 inches) hands and arms forming an 'L', upper arms paralell to the floor and forearms and cupped hands perpendicular. This is the pose you will hold for the rest of the meditation, I only move to press buttons on my timer. On the 2nd part you are simply beaming 'watching with mental eyes', 'seeing a beam of light going to infinity', this part is 11 minutes. The 3rd part of the first meditation, you chant outloud, SaaTaaNaaMaa, and go deeper; I usually visualize the mantra going through my hands to infinity, and Shakti bathing me with her swirling (as it shows in the manual) energy, this part is also 11 minutes. (End of first meditation. You could split this any way you want for 31 minutes this was my choice 9-11-11). On the second meditation, I simply press a button on my timer, you really don't have to change anything from the first meditation. The chant changes to the Adi Shakti mantra, I usually visualize Shakti and the energy, and focus on my heart center, accepting the energy. Focusing on the heart center is key, it helps with pratyahar, you'll probably need it for this meditation. (This meditation is built up to 62 minutes as GRK recommended in the last post I re-posted.) Here's the mantra: Adi Shakti Adi Shakti Adi Shakti Namo, Namo Sarab Shakti Sarab Shakti Sarab Shakti Namo, Namo Prithum Bhagawati (pronounced pritem bogvati) Prithum Bhagawati Prithum Bhagawati Namo, Namo Kundalini Mata Shakti Mata Shakti Namo, Namo repeat... Blessings... Deva Avtar Kaur wrote: >Dear Deva, > >Thank you very much for posting those directions for me. Guest guest
Dear Deva, At the risk of having you want to wring my neck for stubborness, where did you get the times for first three parts of the Divine Mother Meditation in 'Transitions ' ? There are none in my copy. I looked up the one in Relax and Renew, but it's different. There is also directions for the same one we are both doing, the one from Transitions, in the Master's Touch manual, but for some reason there are no times given there either. I got in touch with Hari Kaur, who runs Master's Touch and she asked them at IKYTA, and we are still waiting on an answer. In Gururattan's post , which you reposted this morning, she gives times for the last part of the meditation, but not the first three parts. As I said in my earlier post I did find an old copy of directions with times, and it just gave a few mins -not specific- for each of the first three parts. I'm doing five each for the first three and am up to 36 mins for the last part. The reason I'm being so persistant about this is that at Master's Touch we are told very clearly never to do anything for any longer than the times given by YB, as more could end up being less. So I just want an answer on what YB's directions are !!!!! Gururattan, can you give us an answer ? Guest guest
Sat Nam Avtar, Wring your neck? No I'M VERY PATIENT!! Just kidding. "where did you get the times for first three parts of the Divine Mother Meditation in 'Transitions ' ?" --as i mentioned in the last post, I split the times based on 3 parts and 31 mins. and also suggested you can do the variation you like. Many meditations in 3HO manuals are like this, explicit instructions are not given,I think at times purposely so we listen to our own guidance. I did mine 9-11-11. "I'm doing five each for the first three and am up to 36 mins for the last part." --that sounds fine to me. Keep up, it gets 'challenging' after 31 on the second meditation. "I did find an old copy of directions with times, and it just gave a few mins -not specific- for each of the first three parts" --yes, I believe that the emphasis is on the meditation total time not on the individual pieces. So if you get a response from Hari Kaur and IKYTA please post it here. Be well Deva
