Guest guest
The gagging reflex is best activated with a light touch of the toothbrush to the base (back) of the tongue. Ya'll know where it is. Often people will stop the breath when the reflex begins to hit. This is deep fear or resistance to the flow of the body. A fear of giving in, of falling. This little exercise is one small way to make friends with your body and it's rhythms. Why wash the mucous back down with detox tea, a flush it through 24 feet of intestine when it was just 3 inches from being out of your altogether??? It's not how you look, it's how you feel And Darling, you'll feel Marvelous Dharam, Gag Master tkali wrote: > Sat Nam everyone, > Can we not get rid of toxins through other methods, like fasting, drinking detox tea and other herbs that rid the body of toxins? Is gagging the only way? I do herbal mouth, nasal and eye rinses am I gonna have to do this too if I want to be toxin free? By the way, Dharan, I had a good laugh this morning over "It's like lipstick on a pig." And, Satsangeet, I got pretty tickled about your email over gagging too. > Toyb > - > Dharam Singh > Kundaliniyoga > Wednesday, January 08, 2003 7:39 PM > Re: Gagging/Dharam! Guest guest
Yes, it is very simple with the toothbrush and saltwater in the mouth. Additionally, you can try tilting your head sideways, and gently brush the SIDES of the back of the throat, and the TOP too. This will super-clear the mucus in your throat, and nose. Also, the eyes get a good cleaning (hence, helping with cataracts, as Dharam pointed out). gayathri Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable. Sign up now. http://mailplus. Guest guest
I so love the fact that we can talk about this on here... being British.. talking about these kind of things is in general a 'No No'. I can't wait until I do the 'morning routine' class with student's in my upcoming course. So here's a question. Is the success of one's gagging measured by what comes up? Excuse, but I really couldn't find any other way to phrase it (lol)! For example, I sometimes gag, and notice that a small amount of mucus comes up and other times nothing seems to come up... does that mean I didn't do it properly? Or, if one gags on a daily basis does that mean that at some point, we won't notice anything coming up, or only a small amount? In any case I shall sing the praises for the effectiveness of the art of gagging to clear one's nose, and water the eyes! I always have to blow my nose afterwards, and can breath more clearly... so it's obviously very good at clearing the sinus and nasal passages. Courage Sat Sangeet!
