Guest guest
Sat Nam GuruRattan, Wahe Guru!! I just tried the set on p.57 of Transitions to a Heart Centered World, the Bridge Series (Power to Heart)... it's great... it's easy AND effective. I have a couple of questions. - No. 4 says sit with Index fingers locked in front of heart, fix eyes on something, inhale and pull hard a few times. Should I hold the breath and continue holding whilst I pull several times, and then exhale to finish? I had a GREAT response to this exercise... *immediately* afterwards I noticed a great expansion of my lung capacity and a loosening of my heart area and was able to take a very deep breath, which felt just lovely, since I often have a hard time taking deep breaths, due to a tight diaphragm past holding pattern. - What is the effect of pulling on fingers / hands (i.e. bear grip)infront of the chakra areas whilst holding the breath.. is it to open the chakra and it's physiological counterpart area? - No. 6 is Cobra pose with long deep breathing 1-2 minutes. Then still in Cobra pose, with Breath of Fire kicking buttock with heals. Is this kicking the buttocks with alternate heals, or both at the same time? I did it with alternate.. however I had to come into a half-cobra pose (arms bent leaning on forearm rather than arms straight) in order to be able to reach my buttocks with my feet, is that ok? I'm assuming I need to practice Cobra a lot more to become flexible enough to be able to kick my buttocks in that posture, or perhaps it's hamstring flexibility. In anycase what a great little Kriya... the chanting of ONG SOHUNG at the end is such a great vibration, it really resonates right through the heart and head. My mind did start to wander then I remembered to keep coming back to the mantra, listening to it as I was chanting it, and really getting into the feeling/the sensation of the vibration! Wahe Guru, I recommend this one! Yes. or if you stay in cobra then you will only attempt to kick your buttocks. I'm assuming I need to practice Cobra a > lot more to become flexible enough to be able to kick my buttocks in that > posture, or perhaps it's hamstring flexibility. I haven't seen anyone who could reach the buttocks in cobra pose. > In anycase what a great little Kriya... the chanting of ONG SOHUNG at the > end is such a great vibration, it really resonates right through the heart > and head.
