Guest guest
Good morning everyone...Sat Nam... I feel inspired to share something with everyone this morning. After sadhana, I pick up my guitar and practice it and sing for awhile. I sing chants and other Devotional songs we hear on Cd's that we've all heard available through yoga tech etc. This morning I remembered a song someone had given me just before christmas that I had forgotten about. I believe the origins of it is the Christian faith. (I know someone might interpret it as a song of feeling possibly unworthy and feeling like God is outside of you, but that's not how I experienced it). I pulled it out and began to play and sing it. Half way through, my voice became inaudible as tears began streaming down my face, as I sang the last two lines. I sang it for about 20 minutes straight, I was so moved by it. It reminded me of the part in Japji that I was wondering about... the line about humility and awe in the face of God. I thought I might share this song with you. Maybe someone else out there likes to sing devotionally...so I'll include the chording as well.
