Welcome to the list Maria,

Ya' don't want to wear socks because they're an impediment to being grounded

and we wear head coverings for a couple of different reasons. The

yogic reason I am aware of is that we want to "insulate" against losing energy

too quickly through the upper centers. We want to hold it there, be

with it and contain it.

You ever meet someone who is going a mile a minute and can't hold a

concept/focus for the length of a conversation? Gently suggest to him/her

to wear something (even a Mets cap) on their head.

Tying the hair into a rishi knot is very important, also. And a turban is

best. It really calms and channels a person through placing a

pressure on several meridians. Whenever you are completely exasperated, do you

ever just let your head drop with your forehead resting in the

heels of your hands? It's very healing. Those meridians and more get a

stimulation with a nicely tied turban.

Thank you for clearing those points for me. I knew there had to be a reason.

I would 2 like to know how to tie the rishi knot. Is there a special place

where I could get a turban? And I guess, it has to be a special material and

a certain way of doing it?

About the gagging, I have been doing it for quite some time. I am currently

doing the Mush Diet and have noticed not as much mucus (if any) come up. It

feel so good to get that out of my body!!!!!!

Sat Nam.

Maria

PS. Dharm, tu tambien espero sueñes con los angelitos!!!! ;)
