Guest guest
Move over "Gag Master" there's a new Queen in town! (Just kidding Dharam, you still more than hold the "title" in light of your "airport gagging incidents!" that you've reported! Ha ha!) Just my way of saying, I used the advice you gave about bracing myself on the vanity, allowing my abdominals to relax more...and also something Gururattan said sparked a different perspective about what I was doing...Instead of thinking, "I'm trying to gag myself"...I thought, "I'm going to brush the back of my tongue until it's clean...and whatever process happens due to this action...I will simply flow with it as it happens". Supporting myself on my elbows "did" take the "violence" out of the contraction. And it was a much lower key experience...I even got a few gargly/gaggy sounds happening this time, nothing came up mind you, but I spat a few times for good measure, thinking I'll need the practice when it's actually required! (really effecient spitting is not in my repetoire of currently held skills!) The other thing I noticed which spurred me on to try again was that while I read the 2 messages last night responding to my experience, I had a reoccurrence of that "off" feeling around my navel and even felt a bit nauseuos, so I realized, that feeling wasn't so much to do physically, with my abdominals contracting forcefully as the other stuff we've spoken about. At any rate, I carry on! Sat Sangeet
Guest guest
Sat Nam, I think it is time to offer a cosmological perspective on this whole topic. I see two approaches -- the masculine and the feminine. In human terms -- the warrior and the queen approaches. Yes you said it. > Move over "Gag Master" there's a new Queen in town! something Gururattan said sparked a different perspective about > what I was doing...Instead of thinking, "I'm trying to gag > myself"...I thought, "I'm going to brush the back of my tongue until > it's clean...and whatever process happens due to this action...I > will simply flow with it as it happens". This is the queen approach. I don't always get a lot of mucus, but I am on such a mucuslless diet I don't know where more would come from. Also I sneeze alot (since childhood). My body revoves mucus in this fashion. Onward, Warriors and Queens. Sat Nam, Gururattan Kaur
