I wanted to thank all of you who replied to my posting. It was wonderful to

get up this morning and read all your messages. I will be writing back to all

of you.

For those of you who aren't familiar with my particular situation, I had back

surgery on my lumbar area about 4 years ago. I am doing fine but I still

have some permanent paralysis. I do have another question for all of you.

When I try to do root lock, I have a hard time. I'm not sure if these 3 parts

of my body just don't work together anymore or maybe they do and its just

that I cannot feel it because of some neurological damage. I haven't seen

anyone on this message board who has had a similar problem, but also I don't

know too many people who had back surgery who do yoga. Anyway, should I just

keep doing root lock as if I can feel the whole thing and maybe I will

eventually be able to?

Oh, one other thing. This just show you how much I read your message board

but don't write. I remember Soniya. She was from India and she had a 18 day

old baby. She needed help because she had not gotten any sleep and she had no

family here. I specifically remember her because I sent her a phone number

for a gudwara in her area. Someone on the list did volunteer to help her..

She was in Brea, CA., which is in Orange County, south of LA. I don' t have

her e-mail address any longer, as that was a little while ago.

Many blessing to all of you,

Gina

Hello Gina,

The movements and postures that we are not able to perform are all about

intention. We stay safe while getting as close as we can - and invision the

root lock (or what ever) in our minds just as though we are doing it. Energy

follows thought.

I was in an accident quite some time ago and my lower back is now a tad bit

deformed as a result. The same would go for people in wheel chairs...

Intention. You will be just fine with the root lock - Though you must be aware

of all that you can within yourself - physically: Do not hurt yourself.
