Guest guest
Dharam you mentioned that any abrasive sound sends pain to Yogi Bhajan's physical body during Tantric. I was wondering if you or anybody else knows what the effect of...not sure how to put it?..."irreverent chanting" has if any on him during Tantric. What I am referring to, were the times during chanting Wahe Guru, that some people were purposely trying to fall out of sync with every one else and trying to chant it in a "goofy" way etc. loosing the naad and the group unity? And I'm wondering if that has an effect on him? Sat Sangeet
Guest guest
My personal thoughts on this are that we are there to do work. If in being focused, laughter spontaneously and uncontrollably overtakes you, then you have ticket to ride. "Back in the Day" when Yogiji was there in person, there was no goofiness that I saw, or certainly not to the point where idiots were intentionally trying be noticed by and entertain a large number of people. I think this does make more work for Yogiji. It definitely messes with him if a person's spine is not straight or has some other mixture of improper posture. I leave the line when I don't have the juice to stay focussed or awake, as I had to do this past time for the first time ever. Additionally, as the sound guy, I will turn up the volume of a mantra if people are losing the rhythm.
