Guest guest
Sat Nam ya'll, I was talking with a friend the other day. Back when we were kids and a lot of us were deciding which spiritual path we wanted to take, we had one friend who took what we'll call the Left-Handed Path. HE truly believed that it was through the forces of chaos that the ultimate act of creation was formed. To that end he has spent a lifetime practicing the Dark Arts. Anyway, when the conversation turned to this individual, I blurted out," He'll be ok honey. After all, ALL paths lead to God. Ultimately, He's the only thing out there!" Now, as an old-school recovering Catholic, I'm a bit prone to over thinking these things. But here we are in this wacky dualistic-Universe practical joke we've all agreed to play. We are to transcend the flesh to experience our true connection to Source, yet we use the flesh to experience our transcendence. Thank God for a physio-technology like KY that makes this easier! But OY!, the seeming contradictions! I decided a while back that the only way to really have any fun in this life was develop an appreciation of the absurd. Like, I'm a gook-looking gay man, emotionally available, thoughtful, spiritual, blah, blah, blah, and WOMEN find me irresistible. Somewhere I'm sure me and God are sitting around laughing our asses off at that one! You see? It's absurd! Yet it is in the midst of that very absurdity that I find the grace to NOT take myself too seriously and make one more good decision, take one positive step, have one good laugh. Some paths are longer, others shorter, but I'm kinda diggin' the one I'm on. Light n Love Sat Nam, Leo
