Guest guest
Sat nam. I'm generally a lurker on this list, but I must comment on this thread. Many people on this list are quite awe inspiring to me. The dedication, perseverance and faith to this yogic lifestyle in such a short period of time is amazing. I've been doing yoga for 7-8 years now. It took me 7 years just to do yoga everyday. Even though I felt the benefits of KY in my first class, I didn't have the will power or the attention span to continue on like many of you. I mean, 40 days of doing the same yoga set and meditation?! Ugh! That was so boring to me. It was like watching the same TV episode again and again. I could never commit. I finally did it last year. It was an accomplishment, but I have a lot to learn though. I'm stuck in that American mentality of "I want it NOW". So, I was disappointed that my big miracle didn't happen. So, I move on at my snail like pace. I'm currently working on the navel center. I've been following Ravi Singh's tape and aiming for 90 days. Wish me luck, and for those of you who do such an awesome job, I bow to you. You guys are phenomenal! Guest guest
Sat Nam Shiv Antar! I have a confession to make, will-power has never been at a lack for me. In fact, I've been known to go in the opposite direction at times (total tunnel vision). Balance is the goal. While some people could call me stubborn, I prefer the term determined (symantics). I feel the same type of awe as you do when reading the stories of the folks participating here. And a lot of times it gets intimidating. But I just keep focusing on what I'm doing and how I feel about it. I'm very happy and proud (boy does that sound condescending as I write it) from the progress and breakthroughs that others are making. Its encouraging because I can see them for me too, just not quite on as grand a scale. But we each have our own path to follow and we all eventually get to the same destination (that is paraphrasing what many others on this list have said to me the past year). I think you are doing a wonderful job. Please keep up and don't be so quiet going forward! Christa
Guest guest
Sat Nam! For the record...I LOVE YOGA MUDRA!! I do it everyday too! And you know how when you teach or spend time with a group of people for awhile you have running jokes?? Well.. In my classes I always get a round of laughter the point when I invite them to place their foreheads on the ground in yoga mudra! Ha ha!
