An apology

Sat Nam ya'll,

Well I clearly owe somebody an apology here. Perhaps I've become more

cynical than I realize, but I presumed that the KY community would have done

little or nothing with regards to HIV. Nothing could be further from the

truth. His Grace the Yogi Bhajan jumped on the HIV bandwagon early in the

80's and has put his best minds to work on it. At his behest, Dr. Shanti

Shanti Kaur even did her doctoral thesis on the Effects of Meditation on

HIV.

One of my goals was to generate academic interest in the issue and to light

a fire under somebody's ass. Turns out that the KY community has done

almost as much work with HIV as the entire Western Medical Establishment!

There is nothing here that I see I can add either academically or in terms

of hard data. All I have is my story as a 15 year survivor. I know this is

not a body of experiential knowledge that's not to be sneezed at, I just

need to go back to the drawing board and rethink this Project.

I shall continue my own researches because, well, you never know where

answers will come from. After all, some idiot had to stand up and say

"Let's try moldy bread!" and that led to penicillin.

But I was indeed both arrogant and presumptuous and for that I wish to

offer each of you my heart-felt apologies.

Sat Nam,

Humbly, Leo Miller

Dear Leo,

A little humility is good, but no need to apologize about wanting to make a

contribution to others and the world.

The good news is that you know you have lots of resources for your project

and aren't alone. Everyone has something special to contribute. There is a

lot of power in sharing a program with others in similar situations that you

have actually had results from yourself. It is building the field for

others to step into.

If all the work had already been done, then every one with HIV and every

other problem would already know about KY and be doing it. So move on

brother and get your contribution ready to share with the world.

Sat nam,

Gururattan Kaur
