Guest guest
Sat Nam, Iyer and All, Concerning the discussion of "Soham" which sounds very similar to So Hung, the version of this mantra that is taught by Yogi Bhajan. Both have the same meaning, I am Thou. The effect of this mantra is to tune one into the consciousness where we realize our oneness with the Infinite. Yogi Bhajan introduces technology that creates a very important shift in consciousness on the planet. Previously the goal of spiritual paths was to release humans from the human body, join them with the divine and escape as much as possible from the human experience until which time one left the physical body. The goal of spirituality now is very Aquarian -- to bring Spriit down to the earth and to infuse human life with spiritual values, energy and laws. To reverse the process of escape with the intention of spiritualizeing matter requires a very different focus and technology. This is why Yogi Bhajan teaches the use of ONG instead of OM. And SO HUNG instead of SO HAM. Both are valid, but each produces a different effect. HUNG and ONG have the effect of vibrating the cells of the physical body so that they can balance and align with the emotions. It is very true that to achieve uniity with the divine in the human body, we need to use the emotions. To truly inegrate our emotions with infinite energy is one of the most challenging tasks for the human being to accomplish. This is why in the past, spriritual paths focused on the upper chakras and avoided and even concdemned the lower chakras. But guess what, the emotions are the sensory system of the soul, so if we do not use this energy, we cannot truly embody our soul. This is why we are taught meditations like Sodarshan Chakra Kryia. We have to get down and durty in the lower chakras to embrtase the emotional body and to pull in Spirit into the physical body. > Whenever we meditate, normally we fix our mind on that Supreme Power here we have take it within us and shade negativity from us. What this means is that we open the upper chakras so we can hold the infinite in our minds and then we use this energy to work with the energy of the lower chakras so that our emotional body, which has been coopted by trauma dramas, gets cleared out and repossessed by our soul. The difference is "shade negativity from us" In KY we don't hide from the darkness. We turn it into light. RAAAA MA DA SA SA SAY SO HUNG. (This meditation will be explained in lesson #24 which will be out soon.) See past NMB ezines for further discussion. A very common theme for me.
