Guest guest
I would suggest the following simple first steps: 1) Increase the water intake gradually to the point of 2-3 litres per day. Sip water all day through. 2) Take a multivitamin supplement after a meal everyday. 3) To increase the fruit, vegetable and greens intake everyday. 4) To chew food well thoroughly before swallowing it down. Take lots of time to eat. This can work wonders to the human-body system. 5) Do breathing exercises, focusing on lengthening the inhalation and exhalation times gradually. To exhale really well is very important, as it gets rids of the toxins from the body very efficiently. Breathing really well is the key to being relaxed. 6) Try to do simple yoga asanas which improve chest expansions in the beginning, which are easy to do but very quick in yielding results. 7) Do the brushing-tongue/throat-to-get-rid-of-mucus, jal-neti, and gajakarni (elephant kriya) which have been on the discussion board for quite sometime recently. This is a very easy way to get rid of a lot of toxins from the body. It can simply work wonders to the way one feels. Pick 2 or 3 steps from the above list, and try them out everyday. You can gradually expand your list of things to do. I am very certain that each one of the above steps helps in fighting depression. Good luck! gayathri --- userr8475 wrote: > > my sister suffers from depression. i was wondering > ianyone can reccommend any > specific yoga workouts to help, or any books on the > connection between > depression and your chakras > > > thankyou!! > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been > removed] > > > Mail Plus - Powerful. Guest guest
You have a normal shower with hot water, clean yourself and then close the hot water pipe, you start with the cold one with your feet up to your hips.. them your arms... at the same time you pour the cold water on your body you give yourself a massage with the other hand.. the end part is a little bit difficult... you bow yourself and pour down the water on the top of your head and then on your back... but belive me when you stop it and dry vigorously with the towel all the blood is coming out to your skin and feel yourself like being on heaven, it is good for all your body, muscles, internal body, and in this way you will never get a cold, I started with this cold shower 3 months ago and cannot go to work without it.. best regards sat nam Luis Martin ----------------- Nuevo Depósito a 1 mes 6% TAE, infórmate: http://ingdirect.ozu.es ----------------- Correo enviado desde http://www.ozu.es

There is also a profund article on depression from a yogic point of view at: http://www.yiextra.org/ Called "Leaving Depression Behind: The Yogic Way Out" While the first part concentrates on the nature of depression, later there are useful practical applications from yoga and ayurveda Peace to all Guru Shabd
