LDB throughout the day

The past week or two I've found myself doing long deep breathing

during the day. I'm usually not conscious of this until I begin to

notice energy running up and down my spine. Is there a problem with

doing this? My only concern is what aspects of ky are 'ok' to do

outside of a class and without tuning in. I'm assuming that breathing

is fine. But I found it a bit odd that I'm doing it throughout the

day. Just curious if there are things that should only be done while

in class/tuned-in.

SAT NAM Christa,

I think, that all the KY lessons are there in order to raise our awareness

and consciousness. If you start breathing in a LDB-rhythm outside of the KY

lessons, then it's really a great step forward. It brings consciousness to

your daily life - back to the place, where it belongs. Breathing is the

most elementary and most important activity in our life - absorbing prana.

I also find my self breathing in several patterns, e.g. when I am walking

I'll take 4 steps for inhaling, 4 steps for exhaling, often I even press my

fingers and chant silently Sa-Ta-Na-Ma - especially when I walk our dog

early morning - so dog walking became a part of my sadhana.

Also when riding the subway I find myself doing sometimes a light BOF or

just LDB while reading. It'a more a kind of gambling with the breath in

response to my needs. Sometimes I even close my eyes and meditate. I think

the key is to find a little bit of Yoga - breathing - meditation in all

daily activities. Even now, sitting in front of my notebook, I do deep slow

inhale, hold the breath, complete exhale. I have really packed days and a

lot of work, but hardly suffer from stress - breathing is the key.

That's why KY and sadhana is really transforming our lives......

Cheers from Shanghai,

Adarsh Singh
