Guest guest
WOW!! ( I-ka-rrrumba!) Frankly....I don't even believe we're fully over the "gagging" issue yet and we're already onto this!!! Please Dharam! Slow down!! Although I am a fan of crow pose on my yoga mat to help ensure successful elimination... at a later date!...I really don't see myself practicing it in the washroom! I took one look at the "squatters" at summer solstice and thought to myself...I don't believe that there is enough coordination in the world!! to make this a successful endeavor! I really can't see this turning out well....so I made the hike up the hill to the portapots! Thanks for sharing the article though...if I ever wanted the full details on "how" I now have them! Ha ha! Guest guest
Hey, I wouldn't breached the subject if it wasn't in Yoga International (http://yimag.org/waytogo.asp) That being said, we can never fully create unless we can rejuvenate. And we can never fully rejuvenate if we are bound up and unable to eliminate. Check out the numerology on the number One. First chakra but also the Soul body which we befriend when we resolve the struggle between head and heart by bowing to the heart. The squatting method is the norm all over S.E. Asia. And you may have noticed shoe-prints on the edges of some of those toilets up the hill at Summer Solstice. Them are from Yogis.....Just so long as they don't miss. You've got to try it to appreciate it. Dharam P.S. For another side of India and my travels there, go to http://www.sahej.com/almonds-as-amrit.html Sat Sangeet wrote: > WOW!! Guest guest
I hear what you're saying....I'm just having some "fun" with the resistance that arises, for me, when I think of trying this! I know it's effective...and I'm all for eliminating and rejuvenating! And Creating! But I'm still working on the gagging as it were...and using this as a symbol of letting go and releasing and that's where I'm at right now...is all. Guest guest
One easy way to open up the pelvic muscles while sitting on western toilets is to just lift the feet off the ground and place them on the front of the rim of the seat. It really helps to eliminate better when the pelvic muscles are stretched. As you become more aware of what's going on in your body through yoga and meditations, you just become more sensitive to when you feel more uncomfortable and more comfortable, and you can easily tell that in a squatting position, elimination is done very efficiently. Similarly, it also feels better if you sit cross-legged while eating. This stretches the stomach, intestines, and the pelvic region aiding movement of the food and digestion. So, yogis recommend sitting on the floor while eating. If you are sitting on a chair at the dinner table, you can just lift the legs up to a cross-legged position on the chair. This will still work, and feels very comfortable too. The more you become aware of the feelings in your body, the more easily you can tell and feel how simple movements can make you a lot more comfortable. gai Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable. Guest guest
Hello All, I tried the squat & poo method, and I love it. Elimination felt so natural. No problem aiming, either. I was afraid I was going to end up with a toilet seat to clean. Funny about the cross-legged eating thing, I've always ate with my legs crossed, it does just feel good.
