Guest guest
Ok, I've had this question that I've been hesitant posting. But the kechari mudra discussion is along the same lines. And since we discuss gagging and elephant kriya, this pretty much pales in comparison. I have a question regarding tongue placement. There have been several kriyas and meds that I've read/tried and in the description they say to press the tongue to the roof of the mouth. Or to touch the tip of the tonque to the 32 (I'm going from memory so that number could be wrong) meridian on the roof. Then there's the whole, stick your tongue all the way back for beauty post that Ranjit just did. And you may be thinking to yourselves "ok, so where's the question". Well, where are all of these places! The front part of the roof is ridged and the back part is smooth. So I'm assuming the meridian is somewhere in the 'ridged side' (ruffles anyone?). And as ridiculous as this sounds, I've run my tongue over the ridges, and while I'm just guessing, there doesn't feel like there's 32 of them there. So I'm sure I'm missing something. And as far as putting the tongue back. I can put mine, fairly easily, just behind the 'bump' at the back of the smooth part (hope I'm not being too technical for you guys with my descriptions). So how do you define 'back of the mouth'? Some meds say to gently but firmly press the tip of the tongue to the roof. Are they referring to the whole roof at that point? And others just say press the tongue to the roof, so is that the whole tongue against the roof (like you would with a closed, relaxed mouth/tongue? I'm totally confused on this one. Any clarification would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Christa
