Guest guest
Sat Nam Everyone, I tried a new set I found in 'Guidelines for Daily Sadhana', and one of the exercises is called Maha Mudra. It says that the effects of this exercise fills pages. But it doesn't mention what any of these effects are! Anyone out there know? Thanks in advance,

Guest guest
Sat Nam, > I would love to learn more about the great benefits of > Maha Mudra * If you really want to know, why don't you do it everyday for 5-11 minutes? Even if you read about it, you are still not going to know. And then tell us. Sat Nam, Gururattana

Guest guest
Sat Nam Gururattan, yes, I would agree with you...smiles all in due time.... and for now I ask this question because in our teachers mannual there is a wonderful Kriya called "Magnetic Field & Heart Center" (pg 369 & 370) & it mentions that the effects of this Asana (Muaha Mudra) fills pages...however, when I looked it up under the index it says that its written on page 231 & there is an error as its not there...& I cannot find anything written on Maha Mudra.... & I would really love to share this with my students & would love to know myself... I'd appreciate your sharing with me the info that you have on this or please guide me to where I can find it written & check it out for myself. Please (: with many blessings, Jiwan Shakti Tampa, FL --- Gururattan Kaur Khalsa <gururattan wrote: > Sat Nam, > > > I would love to learn more about the great > benefits of > > Maha Mudra > > * If you really want to know, why don't you do it > everyday for 5-11 minutes? > Even if you read about it, you are still not going > to know. > > And then tell us. > > Sat Nam, > > Gururattana > > > > > > __ Start your day with - make it your home page http://www./r/hs
Guest guest
Theresa: It's in the Aquarian Age Teacher Manual p. 317: Instructions: Sit on the left heel, placing your heel under the perineum. The R leg is streched out in front of you. Grab the R foot with both hands (R hand on toes, left hand on the side of the foot), spine straight. Use the great lock. They don't mention the breath here. I learned it with squeezing the R big toe nail (activates the pituitary gland) and keeping the gaze at the big toe, and the following breath: Inhale deeply, exhale and suspend the breath out for 8 seconds with the great lock (mulbandh, diaphragm lock, neck lock). The neck lock is on all the time. When you inhale you relax the other locks. I also thought one needed to imagine the breath going up the spine and then letting that pranic energy continue with the gaze of the eyes to the big R toe nail. I don't know why... that may have been a particualr aspect of it for a particular kriya. I don't recall now. When I practice of the Maha Mudra Kriya this is what I do. Perhaps you are correct to ask for the specifics, maybe other practitioners have other variations they have learned... Thanks for asking us to be specific! Blessings, Awtar S.
