Guest guest
Leo, When was the last time you went dancing? even in the kitchen? Put on some good "house" or disco and "be happy" in your body. All any of us really want is to be happy and to feel free. This should shift your relationship with your body. Feel a rightness about/within your first three chakra's energy. Once that is moving, then layout a bit, tune in and then meditate/chant. Feel touched by the breath of life. also, check out Befriending Your Body (kundalini yogakyt13.html) Sat Nam, Dharam As Bob Marley said "Forget your sickness and dance, Forget your weakness and dance" Leo Miller wrote: > Sat Nam ya'll, > Here're the deal. Guest guest
Sat Nam Dharam, Another vote for dancing! Ok! Message from God, I'm getting it. It's Saturday night in a gay neighborhood, if I can't find a place to dance them I'm further gone than we think!! Thanks for the link Dharam, I'm going to check it now. Guest guest
Sat Nam Leo, Sounds like to me you are caught up in 'have to's', and other 'doings' for the body. Just be aware of that trap and when you feel like you do now, like Dharam said...dance, or whatever, just because you can....lay down and do bellylaughing for 6 minutes. We all get caught up in that 'human being' vs. 'human doing' syndrome. Blessings Deva
Guest guest
The simplest way (but, an incredibly profound way) to build awareness is to just feel what happens to different parts of the body when you breathe in and out. This can lead to tremendous healing. And, there is immense healing potential within one's body. Given the condition it is currently in, the body is in best possible working condition ( for anyone and everyone ). Your body is capable of performing immensely better, if YOU do the things to help your body to perform that much better. It takes a few simple things to improve health, and it is fairly easy to have good health. The primary requirement of a body is oxygen (65% of the humnan body is composed of oxygen). You do all the other things well, but you don't breathe well, the body is not going to function well. So, the first and foremost thing anybody can do to help the body is to work consciously on improving breathing efficiency by bringing in awareness. This can easily bcorrect a lot of things that are going wrong within your body. So, Leo, I suggest that you try this exercise today. Lie in savasana, and feel what happens to different parts of your body when you breathe in and out. Notice if the belly or chest or pelvic region expands/contracts when you breathe in and out. The correct way to breathe is to have the upper body expand like a balloon to maximize oxygen intake during inhalation, and to have the upper body squeezed/contracted to maximize the expellation of carbon-dioxide (toxins) during exhalation. There are many folks out there who do it exactly the opposite way, leading to untold suffering. So, the easiest way to correct problems with breathing is to get to know it. And, it is very simple. At the moment, I dont want you to think about how your breathing is while lying down. I want you to FEEL how your breathing is. FEEL what happens near the chest region, the left side of it, the right side of it. Similarly, the abdominal regions and the pelvic regions. Feel what happens in the legs, the face, the arms, the hands, the fingers and the toes, when you breathe in and out. Try this exercise for a few minutes by getting into a FEELING mode. DO NOT THINK about what happens. DO NOT QUESTION whether what is happening within you is the right way or the wrong way. DO NOT ASK whether what you are experiencing is the same way others are experiencing within their bodies. JUST FEEL WHAT'S GOING ON WITHIN YOUR BODY , AND ACCEPT THE WAY IT FEELS AT THIS MOMENT. This can bring out your own solutions to your problems which are unique to your system. Try this exercise for about 20 minutes just focusing on your breathing alone. It sounds simple, but it is very difficult to do. It is very, very difficult to bring attention to very simple things. We take simple things for granted, and breathing is one of them. Leo, try this exercise and notice which part of the body expands/contracts when you breathe in and out. Let me know about it and we will take it from there. gai Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable. Guest guest
Dear Friends, This is a very good explanation for contemplative meditation which is the basis of full body meditation and Sat Nam Rasayan healing. Thank you Gayathri for taking the time to write it out. I hope every one takes the time to practices it. SAt nam, Gururattan Kaur
Guest guest
Sat Nam gai! Just got your email and I'll try it out ASAP. I've also declared Leo's Week o Beauty! That means primp, pose, oil, exfoliate and get my ass to a museum, or cathedral or anyplace that I love just BECAUSE it's beautiful! Anything to help "befriend the body". I'll write you back on that breathing exercise. Sat Nam , Leo
