Sodarsan: failed at 37,5 minutes

Sat Nam,

I've been doing this for a couple of days, 11 minutes. This evening I

tried to go for 37,5. It made me feel so hot, I had to take off all the

upper clothes. Half into it, I realized that I was missing some counts,

and somehow smothering the breath pattern. I thought about how it was

recommended to slowly grow on it, and thought probably it was advised to

do less but with preciseness, rather than smother it and do more (Is

there an advice like this, or did I make it up?)

So, I stopped at 22 minutes. Another thing that made me stop, was an

images download that was getting overwhelming. Among them: A big snake

almost with the wings that was uncoiling with its head right in front of

my nose, and holding a piece of paper in its mouth, as if telling me:

Read it! I think I even saw the first two words: Dear Jiwan!

The second image was a fire spiral, and when I followed it with my

glance it was one of the horns of the Golden Oven.

Any comments?

What year were you born?

A snake with wings is a dragon.

Fire spiral is pretty cool stuff. Pick up a dream book. I think Jung (and

restless :o)) or Freud might say that the fire represents passion or

transformation. The spiral is pretty symbolic of the coiled Kundalini,

serpentine form.

Cool stuff but don't get attached. Your relationship is with the temple (body),

your breath and the resonance of Wahe Guru (Indescribable wisdom,

Bliss beyond words. It expresses the indescribable experience of going from

darkness to light).

Do some yoga, exercise or basic warm ups before sittin' for Sodarshan. Your

focus will be more steady and your experience more body oriented.

Definitely build up your time slowly.
