Guest guest
I was taught to do frog pose with heels lifting off the ground on the exhale as you squatt into a frog position and then press heels down as you inhale lifting the bottom up into the air. Keeping the heels pressed together at all times to stimulate the liver meridian. I have also come across the set that says to keep heels lifted the whole time..it's either in the sadhana guidelines or Shakta Kaur's book I believe, but too lazy to go check at this moment? So..I'm still unclear...which is the way people normally do frog and which one is the exception? Thank you, Sat Sangeet
Guest guest
Ah Yes, that helps. You'll also find a set or two where the breath is reversed: Head down exhaling with buttocks up, head up and butt down inhaling. Generally speaking and unless specified otherwise, we inhale with the butt up and head down, heels together and off the ground. Then exhale strongly with head up the butt down, even striking the heels, which are still together and off the floor. Guest guest
Sat Nam Sat Sangeet, Like Dharam, I've only been taught, and seen frog pose done one way. Heels together and touching and off floor in back, feet in front spread in a 'V' shape. Inhale up, head down, exhale down, head up. Maybe there are two ways to do it, I do them the way I learned. Guest guest
Sat Nam Dharam Singh and ky sangha, What's the correct procedure when breathing? 1) Buttocks up, inhale, hold breath, buttocks down, exhale, hold breath out while moving butt up, inhale in buttocks up position, etc? Or.. 2) Start inhaling in squat position and finish inhaling in buttocks up position, then start exhaling in buttocks up position, continue exhaling while moving butt down, and finish exhaling in squatting position? Guest guest
Good morning Gilberto, #2 is closer. Start inhaling as you leave the squat position and finish inhaling in buttocks up position. Start exhaling as you leave the in buttocks up position and continue exhaling while moving butt down. But finish your breath powerfully as your butt hits your heels.
