Guest guest
They offered way too much Soy at Solstice. A few us still "eat" milk. I heard they just had a lot of soy they needed to get rid of. Now we've talked about this subject of Soy vs. Milk way too much. From what I've read on Ayurveda, Almond milk is by far the best substitute for milk. Most us drink soy because we don't want to drink milk, and it hits the spot with cookies, and pies and breakfast cereals but it is lacking in certain qualities that almonds will give. In Ayurveda, some of the foods that are most strengthening are almonds, honey and milk. You got all three in Golden milk plus turmeric. Try to mess with the recipe as little as possible. I like it very much and it helps to sleep wonderful! But do you know, what some people are saying about milk? Milk is not for adults. No animal is drinking milk as an adult. Milk is only for babys. What do you think about this? Sending you all a lot of light & peace Sonja
Guest guest
Sat Nam Sonja, I am new to ky, so I don't know what the veiw is on this to most practitioners (I think milk is considered good), but I think that if you look at it from the perspective of nature- as in what did nature intend milk for -- I think then, that it's true; milk is for babies. Cow milk is for baby cows, and goats milk is for baby goats, and human milk is for baby humans etc. Soy, almond, and rice milks are all milks made by adult humans for adult human consumption, so in that respect, I think that they are the most appropriate. I haven't tried this recipe, but I think if you don't like soy milk, almond milk, or some other nut milk would be tasty and creamy. Guest guest
Please no more discussion about milk vs Soy. This is something addressed ad nauseum (sp?) in the archives. Please, Please, Please! No offense but this is a golden opportunity to familiarize yourself with using the archives. This is an almost incendiary topic as Isreal-Palestine. Let's move on. Good Night, Sat Nam, Dharam
