Guest guest
Sat Nam! For yoga Sanskrit terms, this one is excellent: The Shambala Encyclopedia of Yoga by Georg Feuerstein For other Sanskrit, sorry I haven't found any very practical books for quick reference. I simply study the grammar out of a "Teach yourself" edition which has a glossary in back. I pick up most my vocabulary through yoga books, especially studying the Yoga Sutras. Swami Satchidananda's YS has the Devanagari script if you are learning that. My favorite online glossary (transliteration only) is: http://www.miraura.org/lit/skgl.html Om Bolo Satguru Maharajaki Jai! ~ranjit >"nicholebaker67 <nicholebaker67" ><nicholebaker67 >Kundaliniyoga >Kundaliniyoga > Dictionary / Mediation Times >Thu, 30 Jan 2003 22:07:43 -0000 > >Sat Nam! >I didn't get any responses ...thought a new RE: line would help. >From my last message two questions: > >Can anyone recommend a really good sanskrit / yoga terminology >dictionary? > >I'll try to keep my questions to a minimum until I complete >the book, but in the meantime, why are all mediations supposed be be >for odd lengths in duration i.e. 11 min, 22 min, 31 min, etc? > >Thanks for any help you can offer. > >Love and Peace, >Nichole > > > _______________ Help STOP SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail
