Guest guest
Dear Ranjit Kaur, Typically, in hatha yoga bastrica and kapalabati are taught, not Breath of Fire. However many people that start Kundalini Yoga classes of Yogi Bhajan, are not taught Breath of fire. Instead they are taught either bastrika or a milder form of kapalabati. This may be due to many hatha yoga students and teachers having taken the Kundalini Yoga classes but not having fully understood how to do Breath of Fire, assuming Breath of fire to be either the same as bastrika or bastrika with a greater thrust on the navel of a milder form of kapalabati (i.e., less force on the exhale). This is rather prevalent. I would be interested to hear if anyone has issues with this? Thanks, Ranjit
