Hi, Dharam,

First, let me thank you for your kind and thughtful advices and suggestions, I

find all of them very helpful!

Thank you for this one, I will try it with great hope. I have similar simptoms,

my abdominal area is bloted for some time. First we thought due to toxicity in

liver, now my spleen is swolen, may be due to mono, though I do not have

classical symptoms other than no energy, and now swolen spleen. May be you have

any recommendation?

Thank you in advance,

Agali

Try adding some coconut oil into your diet. One of its components lauric

acid is changed into monolaurin in the body. This is antivirial and will

work against the virus that causes mono. You may be able to get coconut oil

in your local health food store or you can order it on line. You can also

use the reg fat coconut milk as a good source for the oil. Contary to

current medical dogma cocnut oil is a very heallling and healthy oil and will

not raise cholesterol. This info was passed on by the seed oil industries

who wanted to sell their products and did studies using hydrogenated cocnut

oil.

Thanks Cheryl!

I will try to find some coconut oil, although it is not so easy here in Greece

because olive oil rules! And I try to use it as much as possible because I realy

believe in its health powers. Do you know anything about it?

Olive oil is very good for health. While in India,

we used coconut oil ( from coconuts grown in our home

)

for our cooking. Coconut oil has a lot of therapeutic

benefits and is used in herbal medicine, but it is

loaded up with fat (and, so a small amount in cooking

is probably OK). The food is also tastier when cooked

in coconut oils, but I switched to olive oil for my

Indian cooking after coming to US ( as coconut oil is

not commonly found here ), but I find the food to feel

lighter than when it is cooked in coconut oils. I

stick to olive oil for everything, these days,

including baths and skin applications. It certainly

feels much lighter and cooler on the skin.

Hi Gai

Your perceptions are right . Coconut oil is lighter than olive oil. Cocnut

oil is comprised of medium chain fatty acids and can be absorbed directly

into our bodies and converted to energy without using a carrier lipoprotein.

Olive oil is comprised of long chain fatty acids and must be binded with a

lipoprotein for transport.

Interestingly coconut oil also has the effect of increasing the metabolism

and improving thyroid function, (Seed oils tend to inhibit thyroid function)

Many investigations have been done and have discover that

good olive oil (Extra virgin, first press) give you good

colesterol and reduce the bad one. Good for you heart, and

alsois good for your bowels, constipation, and many other

things, the proble is that the good one is very expensive

exept in the origin countries like Spain... come over...
