Guest guest
I really want to thank for the recommendation of "Christ and the Kundalini" article. It was very timely and helped me a lot in digesting something that sounded like an attack on me and all along on KY in a recent workshop I've attended. Basically a person in charge said something that went like this: "she'll pray for those who do the Kundalini Yoga, because the Kundalini slams at the crown of the scull from inside; and the Buddhist say that the person even will die in that shape (?); and when she did it (The KY), she lost all her hair, and she was lucky enough to have helpful people around, and she grounded herself and shaved her head repeatedly, and got her hair back." She was not open to any discussion. I am even sorry to post this; I do not feel like opening a fire cannon, I love her dearly; but I need further help in clarifying this, because I am on the verge of starting a stewardship of teaching quite a big group of people to Kundalini Yoga Meditations, because these Meditations are so beautiful, and here the sound, the breath and the hand mudras (means energy meridians in the body) all come together. So, I hope I will hear from some people who were practicing this form of KY for a long time, and if themselves or somebody they know have had any problems close to what was described. In the light of recent discussions about mixing different yogas I am also wondering if I will hear that KY meditations can not be or should not be taught alone without the sets of kriyas. "The big group" is a circle of cyber friends, and I was thinking about referring them to this list in future if there will be enough interest.
