Guest guest
As I've said before I love Japji...and I'm not familiar with the whole transliteration or Gurmukhi version of it...but I am familiar with the english translation....and Sat Nam's response to Baba"s request just reminded me of one of my favorite lines...and it's in keeping with what I expressed in my post yesterday about witnessing and the theme of inner listening.... Sunia dookh paap kaa naas (Listening...destroys all pain and error) Did everyone notice there is a course being offered...I believe 3 days before summer solstice called "Self Mastery through Japji"! I wish I could take it! Unfortunately I can't get enough time off to attend both that and summer solstice! Sat Sangeet
Guest guest
The first time I had ever heard japji recited...I was pretty much horrified by it....but I kept having an intuition to begin working with it...that I resisted for 6 months...then i finally got mata mandirs version and listened to the english version of it.........and it began a fire within me...the english words did. I would read those words and feel the depth of them in my heart. Then i went to the japji course...where I got totally freaked out by the classical Indian raag that was being played throughout it....I felt as if it lacked all heart...and yearned for more "pop' versions of japji that I had heard. I went home from there and began working with just certain pauri's of Japji, working along with the CD Bani Pro (it's a recitation) and began to catch the naad as I chanted it.... well when that happens...it's like "open sesame".....instant love.... and now if I could get by...my preference would be to speak Gurmukhi all the time!...Ha Ha! (first I would have to learn it!! ) I love the way my tongue feels as it forms the words and stimulates my upper palate...it's like being kissed over and over and over again...I love the way my heart center begins to resonate and vibrate with each word spoken....my aura strengthens instantly, like a match being thrown on a fueled fire....and I love how I begin to feel as if i have become the Divine Instrument and I am simply being played in the most masterful of ways. Whew! After that...if you'll excuse me...I have to go recite japji!! : ) Sat Sangeet Post your free ad now! Canada Personals
Guest guest
Sat Nam Sat Sangeet, Sounds like a love affair... The CD Bani Pro, you purchased where? I would like to get a copy. Does anyone know of a book that teaches, or helps understand Gurmukhi?
