Guest guest
I have a query about Kriya for Morning Sadhana, (now included as part of the new KRI teacher's training manual for level 1, but I don't know what other books it is featured in). One exercise is four arm swing movements co-ordinated with the breath, I am doing it as the kriya describes, but wonder if maybe it is a miss-print as it feels more open for the breathing to reverse the breathing pattern. Sitting in easy pose. Inhale and bring the elbos backwards alongside the chest. Exhale, cross the arms infront of eachother, infront of the chest. Inhale, swing the elbows back out to the sides. Exhale, swing the arms up over the head. And repeat the cycle. Has anyone done this exercise before, can you offer any advise? Doing it the way it's directed seems to work against the flow of the breath. Brightest Blessings to All, Sat-Nam dear yogis. Guest guest
Sat Nam! Interesting! I'm replying because this is one of my favorite kriyas. The way it is written feels the most natural to me, to inhale in the position where your elbows are back and front of the chest opening. But I know what you mean about sometimes feeling like the breath could be reversed. Maybe, swinging the arms to the front of the chest would be a more sensible thing to do. gai Send Flowers for Valentine's Day
