Dear K Yogins,

Would you have an advice for the meditation as specified in the subject

line? Reading about an artsy lady who would turn on her kitchen timer

for 5 minutes and run to the bedroom and do a meditation, accomplishing

a lot through the day, was hilarious. I wonder, Gururattana, what med

was she doing?

My sister in San Francisco is preparing for her Medical Board exam. It

is in a way like all the Medicine Science at once. She is 40, a mother

of 5 year old, holds two jobs, teaching and working in a private

practice. She was studying hard since last June, and there is still

couple of months to go.

She is small, flexible, does a little stretching and gymnastics but

never been seriously into yoga. 3-5 minutes is all she can afford time

wise.

All the advice will be greatly appreciated.

Sat Nam,

Light and Blessings,

Jiwan Kaur

I have not heard from you yogins, but I've selected the lesson #17 from

KY lessons, and gave my sister 3 minute meditation in the bottom of the

lesson.

She reports it is helping. She is wondering how people spend so much

money on drugs and remain ignorant on such a simple way to help

yourself.

GRK: "Meditation to get out of Depression

The following meditation is on page 135 of my book Relax and Renew,

which contains many meditations to relieve stress and depression. Yogi

Bhajan taught it in 1979. This meditation totally recharges you and is

an antidote to depression. It builds a new biochemical system, gives one

capacity and caliber to deal with life, and establishes a direct

relationship with the pranic body."
