Guest guest
Sat Nam Sat Sangeet, I love your posts .... you answered about .... compassion, - setting intentiions, - dharma-Karma - etc..... You seem to reach within and bring forth help and answers, making it all sounds logical and right....but how do you handle low self-esteem, and fear of failure.? Fear of failure to the point of being afraid to start anything for fear of failing? Love and light, Ruth
Guest guest
Although this was not addressed to me, I thought I'd offer my point of view because I have been grappling with issue as well. What I have come to realize is that fear of failure is experienced only by your ego, not by your higher self. Therefore, if you fail then you are 1. choosing to, in the sense that you ONLY fail when you decide to stop trying and 2. questioning your purpose in the endeavor - which may or may not be following your soul path. Failure feels like humiliation to the ego, but failure feels like signpost to your higher self. It is SO DIFFICULT to fail, and feel the humiliation of failure. But if you can fail in front of every person whom you respect and admire - and then look them in the eye and say that this is for the best, know that they (at least the divine parts of them)will still love you inspite of your failure, and **even try to help you follow your soul path next time around** then you have expereinced failure from the perspective of the higher self. I still struggle each day with my fear of failure, but I'm making the progress to overcome it - at which point I'll be able to try anything forever...because I won't fear my failure, only learn the lessons they will have taught me. The fear itself is paralyzing, and that is the hell we accept to live in if we choose not to get over it. Hope this helps - I know it takes a lot of meditation! Guest guest
Sat Nam, After returning from summer solstice, I am looking for a meditation to assist the 40 day processing period that follows. I am looking for a REALLY powerful meditation for self-love and raising my self-esteem--to become more authenic. Any suggestions? Thanks, Nirmal Kaur
Guest guest
Wahe Guru Nirmal! I was also at Solstice! I am puzzling myself as what meditation to do for the next 40 days. Something that helps me retain the experience. Here is a meditation given by Gururattan Kaur around Valentines Day for self love. I am sure there are others meditations, this one is very simple and nice. Learn to be content within ourselves, no matter our life circumstance. There are many paths, but just one destination__ enlightenment. Mike S. SELF-LOVE MEDITATION Sit with your hands on your heart, one on top of the other. Feel the rhythm of your breath in your chest. Relax into the rhythm of your heart. Listen to the heart beat. Feel any other sensations under your hands and in the spine at the level of the heart. We often feel a warmth arise from deep within, in the spine and under the hands. Stay with these feels and let them pull your awareness deep within your heart. Once you have established a focus on your heart, mentally add SAT on the inhale and NAM on the exhale. Simply listen to the breath breathe these sounds. Feel the purity of your breath, heart and being. The purity of SAT NAM. I am the truth. Listen to your heart as though it wanted to tell you something. Be patient. Do not expect anything specific. Just patiently and lovingly listen. Enjoy being with your heart and yourself. Guest guest
Sat Nam, I am looking for a REALLY> powerful meditation for self-love and raising my self-esteem--to become more > authenic. Any suggestions? Sit in easy pose with hands on top of each other on the lap or on your heart. Go into your inner space that is non-judgmental. Notice when a negative thought about yourself appears. From your neutral zone, non-judgemental space respond to this thought by stating 10 times UNG SUNG WAHE GURU. Feel it. Let in enter your psyche. Then sit again and repeat. Every negative thought is lovingly met with the affirmation "The Infinite vibrates in every cell of my body." Do this during the day as well. Guest guest
Hi Nirmal, In addition to what Gururattan has suggested I have a couple of ideas First, one might try doing it in the Amrit Vela (3am to 6am) That way you are truly doing before your subconscious mind has gotten traction and become your conscious mind with all of it's resistance. Second, do some sort of good yoga practice to open up your body (psyche) before meditating. It's like preparing the soil before planting the seed. Third, look to your Soul number (free numerology at www.3HO.org) for more info regarding how one's birthdate can present specific challenges to self esteem and what particular practices one do to work through these challenges. These are all lessons. Hope this helps. Sat Nam, Dharam P.S. Missed you at Solstice. I was not much more than a blurrr to most as I was working the Sound Booth when I was not working my table in the Bazaar.
