Guest guest
Sat Nam, Hello everyone. My name is Simonetta, and I am new to this list. I live on Long Island, New York with my husband and my little boy. About 4 years ago, I purchased the book, "Kundalini Yoga: The Flow of eternal power", by Shakti Parwha Kaur Khalsa , which I thought excellent. Unfortunately for me, after a few months , I had abandoned practice , only to rediscover it again a few weeks ago. I can't begin to say how grateful I am that I took up it's practice again. Last year, I lost a lot in my life. My home was attacked by terrorists, and the funerals went on for a full year. A few months after the attack on New York, I lost my beloved father to lung cancer, and over the summer, I lost my second child. Needless to say, I was pretty numb, and wondered if God hated me. It was thru the rediscovery of Kundalini yoga and hatha yoga that I feel like I have reconnected, not only with the Divine source, but with my own compassion, mercy , and forgiveness. I probably still have a long way to go, but I just wanted to give a testament to how grateful I am for the spiritual re-connection that has transpired for me in the past few weeks. I feel that a miracle is happening in my life. Thanks for listening;I have been enjoying the posts very much!: ) Sat Nam, Simonetta
Guest guest
Welcome Simonetta, What a wonderful re-connection story....For me it's comforting to know that I have a body of teachings (KY) that I can follow and know that eventually through practice it will lead me, successfully towards the art of being human. Compassion, mercy and forgiveness are some of my "favorite" topics....I look forward to hearing about your progress... All Light, Sat Sangeet "Simonetta <info" <info wrote:Sat Nam, Hello everyone. I realize that I am at the very beginning of my spiritual evolution, and have a long way to go. Hopefully, one day I will be able to contribute as much to this group as you all have already done for me! It is hard for me to believe the positive changes that have already occured for me with this practice. One of the first things that I have , i don't want to say "learned" but rather: "remember", is that the more compassion , mercy and forgiveness that I feel toward others, the more I feel the Divine Source filling and healing me. Once again, I thank everyone here who have posted such wonderful wisdom. It is great to contemplate these things thruout my day! : ) Simonetta
