Guest guest Posted February 21, 2003 Report Share Posted February 21, 2003 Sat Nam Matincou, When we breath we inhale prana the life force of the universe and we exhale apana-the eliminating force.. stuff that your body doesn't need anymore. You could try this, it helps me a lot during pranayama...when you inhale imagine your breath as a light coming from the sky, entering your body from the top of the head and travelling down your spine...feel this light purifying you, energizing you, filling you with calmness, health, love, hapiness...then when you exhale imagine the light, travelling all the way up your spine and exiting again from the top of your head, returning back to the universe. Try it and see what happens...then when you are really comfortable with this, in a more advanced stage, you could imagine that you are the light..and you enter the body during the inhale and you exit during the exhale.It is a very interesting technique...
