Guest guest
I live in Nova Scotia Canada and I am certified to teach Hatha Yoga. I teach at a community centre. I had to be certified for them to allow me to teach! They had to see my certificate. I would not be allowed to advertise Kundalini yoga at their centre without certification. I think as more and more people become aware of the standards set by the Yoga Alliance, 200 hour minimum course, etc. the more people will demand the standards and look for those teachers that are certified. I know there are great teachers that are not certified ( Sat Sangeet you are one of them) but I do not think society will accept that in the future( what a shame). I know I can teach my children better than any school teacher; however legally I would not be able to open my own school and teach, unless of course it is in my home and supervised by the school board! So many legal things to watch out for these days. Many blessings, Sangeet
