Sat nam,

Has Yogi Bhajan recommended a specific mantra to do in times of possible war? I

feel helpless in our current climate. I wish to bring a vibration of

peacefulness and hope. I invite others to the same, if you aren't already. What

would be the best meditation to do? And if others would like to join me, could

we designate a time where we chant together in order to make the biggest impact?

I realize we are all in different time zones, so perhaps we can make 3 different

times available. Good idea?

For peace,

Shiv Antar

Sat Nam Shiv Antar,

Did you recieve any feedback? Or did you just intuitively choose a mantra on

your own in order to help facilitate an ecological, positive solution to our

current world state?

In the past Yogi Bhajan has given the mantra Ang Sang Wahe Guru,

fists closed with index fingers pointing straight up, to be practiced

during times of war and other threats. If you want another good

meditation to spread good tidings, then the healing meditation on

Gurunam's website, useing the siri gaitri mantra, is excellent.

This is a very good and important idea, dearest Shiv Antar. I know a lot of

people are praying for peace in

their own ways, but it can be much more powerful, when they take the same time.

I don't know, if there were any

suggestions, because I didn't receive the postings during the last days.

Love, Peace & Light to all

Concerning the Siri Gaitri Mantra, the following excerpt is taken from our KY

Online Training Course - Lesson 24

(kundalini yogakyt24.html)

The healing meditation done with the mantra RA MA DA SA SA SAY SO HUNG is one of

the most popular mediations taught by Yogi Bhajan. This meditation can be done

alone or in a group for self-healing and to heal others and the world. Those who

practice this meditation participate in anchoring the healing vibration on the

planet.

Please check this lesson out if you want information about this particular

mantra. You can also buy Gurunam's "Ra Ma Da Sa" CD (as well as versions by Guru

Singh, Gurudass and Mata Mandir) from Yoga Technology -

Hi Ranjit

Thank you for the links. However, because of the way in which www.yogatech.com

is configured, what you are quoting are links which only apply to your own

particular session on the site. Anyone else using these links will end up on the

home page.

Please use kycds.html

There is a drop-down menu at the top of the page enabling you to search CDs by

artist.

For the CDs mentioned below, look for Mata Mandir and Gururadass.

There is a certain prayer recommended for "UNIVERSAL PEACE" .

It is on Ang 853 in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

U cud recite it 5 times daily ,preferably at amritwela.

sulok mhalla 3

juguth julundhaa rakh lai aapunee kirupaa dhaar

jith dhuaarai ouburai thithai laihu oubaar

sathigur sukh vaekhaaliaa suchaa subudh beechaar

naanuk avur n sujhee har bin bukhusunehaar

Meaning

The world is going up in flames - shower it with Your Mercy, and save it!

Save it, and deliver it, by whatever method it takes.

The True Guru has shown the way to peace, contemplating the True Word of the

Shabad.

Nanak knows no other

than the Lord, the Forgiving Lord. ||1||

Sat Nam...

I don't know the proper positioning for this particular med you are speaking

about...but I know you could practice Ang Sang Wahe Guru in this way as well...

After Sept 11, my teacher said YB gave this meditation to practice...

Right palm faces down, left palm faces up...interlock the fingers in a bear

grip, at the bottom of the heart center....pump the navel 4 times as you chant

Ang (1 pump), Sang (2) Wahe (3) Guru (4).....do that aloud for a while and then

continue silently and to end inhale increase the grip 3 times on the inhale.

The other thing I just remembered is Guru Singh and friends version of Ang Sung

Wahe Guru....it's definetly not, get all serious, sit down and meditate

material...but it's definetly good for cherdikala (spirit rising), experiencing

harmony and a flow when you sing along.

After summer solstice driving back down the mountain, I was listening to this,

between that and the effect of the bumpy road vibrating my every molecule!!...I

didn't have a chance! The tears were being shaken right up to the surface...I

was experiencing a "flow" alright!! Ha ha!!!
