Guest guest
Sat Nam ya'll! Two interesting things of note, to me anyway. I recently got a copy of Japii in Gurmukhi along with the lyrics in both English and Gurmukhi. Looking at the language and reading it I suddenly realized why it was feeling so familiar, then it hit me. Gurmukhi has alot of similarities with American Sign Language. ASL is very dynamic in it's usage. While there is a basic vocabulary, the signs can be juxtaposed to create pictures of powerful nuance. This is the first spoken language I've run across that is conceptual like Sign rather than linear like English. Fascinating! In other news, I've been having an interesting physical manifestation of energy. Lately, whenever I meditate and periodically throughout the day, I feel these swirling discs of energy in both palms and in front of my lips. It's certainly not a problem, just new. I'm stumped. The closest I get to figuring it out id that it may have something to do with the creative power of speech, perhaps even specifically for healing. Anybody out there have any bright ideas? I've tried directing the energy as I do Reiki - ain't happening. Been trying to focus on the Heart Chakra, maybe that's doing it. As I said, it's not bothersome, just something that makes ya go, "Hhmmmmmm?" Sat Nam, Leo
Guest guest
Sat Nam Leo! I've been having a few thoughts on the same subject lately as well...and I do have some information to share with you about it.....but not enough time right now to do it! Hopefully later today....but it relates to the communication of consciousness....some languages speak words and other's "evoke" a state of consciousness when communicated.....I would imagine sign language would have more "evoking" involved because there are more than just words involved in the communication of it.....just watching someone sign...the recipient would have a more (???) lacking the words right now!!.....the experience of the communication would be understood on a more subtle level...which is similar to the experience of having our consciousness expanded by chanting a mantra. I'll continue with this train later...when I have more time to choose my words. All Light, Sat Sangeet Leo Miller <gr82bme wrote:Sat Nam ya'll! Two interesting things of note, to me anyway. Guest guest
Hey Leo, I wish you could see the Hans Jenny video I have (see http://www.cymaticsource.com or http://www.keelynet.com/keely/jenny.htm) It shows how sound vibration affects matter. At various points during the video, you can see the beginning of Arabic, Sanskrit taking shape in the medium that they are using. This is not random, either. The results are reproducible. Very cool stuff. When we speak truth, it makes us high. Lies (non truth....eg. talking about the weather and such) brings us nowhere and even down. Last night I was on a phone call with a dear old friend who was having another crisis (when will she learn?). I was having this conversation while on a workout machine, and then on into the sauna. When I reach the sauna my lips were buzzing! That hasn't happened in a very long time....not since I used to jam onstage with my flute to "Moondance". Those times were straight from my gut. I haven't fully analyzed what the space I was in, except I was being very frank with her about her predicament. Leo, you strike me as a very frank person, so I am sure your vortices, chakras and discs are always whizzing around. When we are being straight, we are coming from our navel. When we speak from our heart, with humility and tenderness, our lips and tongue tend to be more engaged. Speaking truth that nourishes all involved would bring about a connection with navel as that is our first point of nutrition from outside of us. When we are leaning on the infinite mother for our sustenance, we are once again tuned into the navel center. Its Mama energy, along with all the sucking sensitivities. It's a beautiful thing. Guest guest
Sast Nam Leo, I've been having a similar experience with you (energy spinning on hands lips and heart center) while doing some kundalini meditations that have a strong effect on me(especially wahe guru wahe jio in warior pose) and especially one time when I was chanting the ra ma da sa med with palms turned toward the sky in order to heal a friend and at the same time my teacher was doing accupuncture on her. After the 31 minutes passed the energy was spinning like crazy all over my body, not just hands and stuff, and this electric sensation was so strong I thought I would explode! Had to lay down for 10 min in order to come back and what my teacher said afterwards (if I understood right) was that some part of me had left the physical body and took a while to come back. Now that I think of it, sometimes in my life I also had out of body experiences during sleep and right before it hapened, I was feeling exactly this same electro feeling all over... so what we are experiencing is probably really strong energy inside. Now I am not an expert on this to give a scientific explanation... these are simply my personal experiences...hope they help a little.
