Guest guest
Dear Everyone, The other day I noticed, again, that I had some judgments about some of my fellow human beings. I realized that my opinions are creating separation in my mind and contributing to outer conflict and war. So I decided to write NMB#63. Ever since then my mind has been chanting EK ONG KAAR SAT NAM SIRI WHA HE GURU. The creator of all is one. This is true. Wow, this reality puts me into a state of ecstacy. This is an even shorter version of the Mul Mantra. (See NMB#63.) I have to give Gurudass partial credit for this because I have been listening to his CD Circle of Light. Gurudass Singh and Kaur are so heart-centered, their love vibe comes through so clearly. This mantra is the first manta chanted. I just feel so good when I hear this! And then the mantra for protection comes after that and I feel even better. I find myself irresistibly chanting with them. You can listen to the sound clips or even get the CD if you want. kycds.html And any mantra that you relate to and love works. Well I am not in total peace yet. But I am listening and letting the message integrate into my psyche. I don't feel so "anti" and I have made peace with some inner conflicts that I have been carrying around for too long. So maybe in my small way I am contributing to changing the collective consciousness from fear and separation to love and oneness. If anyone else has success using any of the KY techniques to achieve greater levels of inner peace, please share them. Guest guest
Sat Nam.... I also "love" the lyrics to the title track... "The Circle of Light". (A few of my favorite lines from it) Freed of the five passions The dragon has been slain. I have been released by a "love" And my heart dwells in the Name. ...."enraptured" in the ecstasy...I am one with All.... In the circle of light....we are one. (I love the image of a cirlce of light/love embracing us and rousing our Soul's into a state of rapturous ecstasy...until we all become one.) I had an experience with the Mul Mantra earlier this week which brought me a sense of inner peace.... I had been contemplating my "self image"....when I look in a mirror through what kind of "lens" do I see myself...?? I was asking my teacher why, how I feel inside seems so different than what I see, when I look in a mirror...and he pointed out..."that's why they call it self "image"...it's only an image...that clicked with me. It's a way of thinking about myself that has become a pattern and now has become the "image" I see, regardless of whether it fits or not...and it's a matter of retraining myself to see a clearer image. As I was driving home I was listening to Mata Mandir's english version of Japji, he began singing the Mul Mantra.....when it came to the line..."IMAGE of the INFINITE, unborn, FULL of LIGHT"... it struck me very plainly, that my "new" image could be that of the "infinite".... That I could go from this very limited "self view" to one of infinite possibilities...that I could be an "image" of the infinite. .....and that thought...brought me some "inner peace". Sat Sangeet PS. when Mata Mandir sings the Mul mantra in Gurmuhki (on his japji CD)...it's one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard as well...the richness in his voice, for those few moments....it's amazing... he grabs you by the heart on the first "ECK" and he doesn't let go until the final "such". (I wish he had recording of just the Mul Mntra sung in this style alone!)
Guest guest
Dear Gurrattan and all, I have found 'Guru Guru Wahe Guru Guru Ram Das Guru 'to be invaluable. I use it all the time in my massage work - as I am working on a client I'm chanting it in my head when thoughts come up. Anytime I feel stressed it's my magic bullet, because I know Guru Ram Das it right there for me when I need him ! I made a tape of Ad Guray Nameh from Prem to play in my car and chant along to it all the time when I'm driving alone. My kids get sick of it , and I have to listen to their music sometimes (yuck) At least my daughter won't be fourteen forever !
