Guest guest
Hi Leo Anne Marie here, I just read your post and I think you answered your own question. Gurumuck says in her Yoga video which I love, "Its not the Yoga that you do but the courage you bring to your practice that counts". The things that you have already overcome in your life shows that you have plenty of that! I have a class on a Tuesday night that has quite a few older people in it and when I first started teaching it one lady coughed all the way through my class and could hardly move. I thought oh my God! what have I got myself into! I decided to allow her to take responsibility for herself, which is pretty nerve racking, I had to let go of my ego. Anyway she hasnt missed a class and I havent heard her coughing much lately and Ive noticed that she can move a bit more now. She is an inspiration to me. I always tell my students young and old to go at there own pace and listen to their bodies. We are about 70% water right? And doesnt water always find its own level? Anyway do what you can and let that be enough. You are a human being not a human doing.Sat Nam Anne Marie.
