Guest guest
SAT NAM, I have mostly heard a voice which gets very strong with prolonged meditation and it seems to hold on mantras and chantings and constantly repeat it all day and all night long(even while sleeping) and it gets very irritating for me as I cant stop it. Has anybody experienced similar experience? Is the inner voice that you are talking about different than what I hear? Can somebody shed more light on this. Guest guest
Sat Nam Akkama What you describe happenes to me as well. It may follow me throughout the day and night - sometimes for days. The Power Mantra C-D was with me for weeks. Inner voice for me is something different. The first time it happened I turned around to see who spoke - it was so loud and clear. Noone was there. It's happening more frequently all the time. Yesterday morning after Sadhana I was going to write this group and ask why I often have a most profound experience the first time I do something. After that - it doesn't happen again. - - As I get up to go to the computer - the answer came : " you tense up, - be receptive" I have found that these moments of "inner voice" occur mostly after I do some inner pondering on a subject. Does this help? If your mind "thinks" a mantra, he can't think "silly" things. I would say, your inner voice likes all the mantras very much and it's much easier for her to come through... it's like a preparing... like cleaning your room... and then she can come and say: "Hi Akkama, I am here, can't you hear me? I want to suggest you to do this... or that..." And if you do it, you will see, you can't go wrong. :-) all peace Sonja
Guest guest
Sat Nam Akkama, There's a line in the song "Let it Be"...."I wake up to the sound of music...mother Mary comes to me...speaking words of wisdom...let it be"....I mention this because a few weeks ago, I became aware of a constant stream of mantra and spiritual songs running non stop in the background of my mind....and what drew my attention to this the most, is that, I noticed myself "waking" up to the sound of music, for about five days in a row. And the you know the thought that came to mind about this was.... "Alright!!! Finally!!..... my mind is doing something PRODUCTIVE...when I'm not consciously using it! Instead of getting wrapped up in it's usually craziness! ha ha!! And I thought...."Let it be"!!.....it's not hurting anyone and it can only help me in the long run! But I think your mind can also pick up a mantra and repeat it and repeat it til it drives you crazy....but I think that experience is different from the one I described above in that, there would be some level of participation (attachment, actively thinking) in order for it to "drive" you crazy? At some level the individual would have to be chanting along (whether they wanted to or not), instead of just witnessing the mantra being heard within? And you've already had lots of input regarding the inner voice so I won't rehash any of that. Guest guest
Sat Nam Akkama, I think when mantras are repeating inside you its because you have a NEED that comes from inside your soul. The inner voice manifests a lot when you practice saddhana or meditation everyday. Be receptive and let the mantras take over. It wont last forever and you will certainly get good things out of this. Good luck and enjoy it ! Blessings Sotanter K. > Sat Nam Akkama > > What you describe happenes to me as well. It may follow me throughout the > day and night - sometimes for days.
