Guest guest
Sat Nam Magpie /|\, I am curious what you've already found. It is not clear to me from your words (copied below) what "different spiritual tradition" it is you are trying to find relations to. Could you clarify? Is it between India and North American Indians or some other? I don't know if this will help you in your search or if it will mess you up. If you are looking for origins, you'll need to go earlier and broader than the Indus Valley...and earlier than the Vedas. To begin with, Yogi Bhajan has said the Kundalini Yoga, the Mother of all Yogas, is a "Black Science". These are HIS WORDS. Meaning it came from Africa, which flies in the face of pop-ular knowledge. This has always intrigued me. I always wondered what was going on with the images we've all seen of Egyptians painted on the tombs. The angles of their bodies and how I came to be aware that in yoga we "pray" with our bodies, not just our lips. In 2001 had my chance to go a bit deeper into Yogiji's assertion when I met Dr. Sebai Muata Ashby and Hemit Dja Ashby. From their words and projection I could feel deeply their thorough under-standing (not limited to the intellect) and groundedness in the Kundalini experience, both as an internal experience and as an experience of it how we hold our experience in community. It was very validating and inspiring. He has done his homework! ""Dr. Sebai Muata Ashby performed an original decipherment and translation of the Ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead and discovered a term that unravels the mystical disciplines of Ancient African Philosophy for attaining self mastery and Enlightenment. This term is Sema Tawi, translated "Egyptian Yoga." Egyptian Yoga is a term that reveals the paths to attain the highest goal of spirituality, supreme wisdom and immortality. The Ancient Kamitans practiced certain disciplines including postures, chants, meditations, wisdom teachings, manipulations of life force, ritual and other disciplines to purify the body mind and soul and to discover the infinite and transcendental truth."" In his books you see detailed and documented evidences showing that Yoga disciplines originated and were practiced in Ancient Africa earlier than anywhere else in history! ""The questions of the history of Ancient Egypt, and the latest archeological evidences showing civilization and culture in Ancient Egypt and its spread to other countries, has intrigued many scholars as well as mystics over the years. Also, the possibility that Ancient Egyptian priests and priestesses migrated to Greece, India and other countries to carry on the traditions of the Ancient Egyptian Mysteries, has been speculated over the years as well. This volume documents the existence and nature of Ancient African civilization, Religion and Philosophy. Using techniques of Cultural Anthropology and Comparative mythology, this new book, fully explores the motifs, symbols and philosophical correlations between Ancient Egyptian and Indian mysticism and clearly shows not only that Ancient Egypt and India were connected culturally but also spiritually. Also, this volume confronts the notions that civilization began in Mesopotamia or the Indus and shows how Ancient Egyptian wisdom, spirituality and philosophy emerged first in history and influenced if not engendered the civilizations known as Sumer, Assyria, Babylon, Indus and Aryan."" ""These discoveries have great importance for those who follow the philosophy of Ancient Egypt and Ancient Africa. It shows that Africa gave rise to a vast philosophy of social order (Maat) and spiritual culture prior to the advent of Confucianism, Hinduism and Buddhism, Judaism, Islam and Christianity. All of this expands our understanding of the unity of culture and the deep legacy of Yoga, which stretches into the distant past, beyond the Indus Valley civilization, the earliest known high culture in India as well as the Vedic tradition of Aryan culture. Guest guest
Don't forget that both the Egyptian and Atlantean cultures destroyed themselves as an outcome of their mastery over the life force. As well, they turned what was once a lush paradise into a virtuallly lifeless desert. Personally, I think we should study what went wrong in their consciousness before we even think of emulating them - something every serious kundalini yogi should think deeply on.> > > >

Guest guest
wow! that was really valuable information for the seeker...and it really makes sense because it complements the theory that Kundalini was the spiritual practice of the Atlantians and after Atlantis was destroyed, the people who survived migrated and passed their sacred knowledge to Egypt, South America (Mayas) and Asia (India-Tibet). love and light >""Dr. Sebai Muata Ashby performed an original decipherment and translation of the Ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead and discovered a term that unravels the mystical disciplines of Ancient African Philosophy for attaining self mastery and Enlightenment. Guest guest
.... I have a question....what is it that goes wrong in one's consciousness, that their use of power becomes corrupt? Are there many factors or does it boil down to something at the base? How is it, that one can master the Life Force, without having mastered consciousness first? A thought that passes through my mind around this is....power that is drawn from some source outside of our selves, will always create an imbalance in our outer world...due to the fact that you are "taking" from...it creates decay eventually. If the power, was a projection of the inner light, and thus a reflection, of the connection to the Divine Source...it would be in the vien of co-creating rather than robbery? This last description of power, would require being in integrity with God...being one. I think I may have answered my own question....we as humans have the power to manifest...but it is the "quality" of what we manifest that is subject to our consciouness. Anyone can manifest...the question is, from where are your manifestations born? sevasimransingh <mark.terrell wrote:Don't forget that both the Egyptian and Atlantean cultures destroyed themselves as an outcome of their mastery over the life force. We have three Gunas, Tamasic, Rajasic and Satvic and there has to be a balance. Example; someone may have an experience of Rajasic Samadhi while on the battlefield or on Wall Street and have come to identify so intensely with that state of being that they wont know how to come down, and if they are the King or Queen, who is going to challenge them and provide them the humbling that their ass needs. Something bigger will have to level that Karma. In Kundalini yoga, we are self regulating. The Kundalini consciousness will let us know when we are off, no matter how much some folks would like to make it another commodity. >A thought that passes through my mind around this is....power that is drawn from some source outside of our selves, will always create an imbalance in our outer world...due to the fact that you are "taking" from...it creates decay eventually. >If the power, was a projection of the inner light, and thus a reflection, of the connection to the Divine Source...it would be in the vein of co-creating rather than robbery? >This last description of power, would require being in integrity with God...being one. >I think I may have answered my own question....we as humans have the power to manifest...but it is the "quality" of what we manifest that is subject to our consciouness. Seems that our models have all been backward and outer referring rather than inner referring. We look at discipline as something that we DO, or something we "have to" put ourselves through, but I like to think of discipline as a cultivation of that capability to think, feel and do what it is we REALLY WANT to think, feel or do. To follow through on what is TRUE to the inside of us and not our neurosis. In this new world order might have some Anarchy at first until things leveled out. As a great philospher once said 'To live outside the Law, you have to be honest" (Bob Dylan). I say the good guys dress in white. Sat Nam, Dharam Singh Note: Climatic changes may have had, at least, some bearing on both the Altantean and Egyptian civilisations. Guest guest
sat nam sat sangeet, the answer to your question resides in the heart..the union of the two worlds, spiritual and physical, must take place in the center of the heart to form the perfect human... any spiritual power that one acquires must be filtered through the anahat chakra so that the power can manifest as pure love and give form to a paradise world...if a consciousness travels from the lower triangle chakras to the higher ones and the 4th chakra of unconditional love is blocked, then the spiritual power can easily be misused for personal interests instead of a higher cause. love and light marily sat atma Sponsor "OUR DESTINY IS TO BE HAPPY" - Yogi Bhajan To UNSUBSCRIBE from this list, please send a blank email to Kundaliniyoga NO UNSUBSCRIBE REQUESTS TO THE LIST PLEASE!> WEB SITE: kundalini yoga KUNDALINI YOGA ON-LINE TRAINING. Guest guest
SAT NAM SAT SANGEET, WELL for me I always knew I was god and seeing a better way for all humans to inhabit communities with every social issue considered and implamented with minimal staff but no help but I kept fighting for good. I wanted to be good and I thought my mind and my form were good, till I had acumilated vast quantums of information so I could get out of this place here & make sure everyone else would also get their chance when this reality would fold and all could leave beyond inner to beyond outer. Well this energy was released & I had to face this big Monster from the Id-IDA CALE the universal personality the quiet voidic silence we like. So remember the Love Light is White like the Sun & the Comforting Protector Silence is Voidic Black. Do not look at the sun to long you might wake up!!! Love you Other!
