Hi all,

A question came up last night in class. When touching your fingers in Kirtan

Kriya how much pressure should be applied to the individual fingers. She also

questioned that she seemed to apply different amounts of pressure to different

fingers. Any thoughts?

Thanks

Sat Nam Brian,

"The pressure on the fingers should be firm enough so that when you release the

pressure the tip of the finger is briefly white,if you press too gently you'll

put yourself to sleep"... at least that's what's stated in Shakti's book 'The

Flow of Eternal Power'. As for the amount of pressure on each finger, I

personally think it should be equal in all fingers, since each finger seals a

special quality to our consciousness...so it's only fair. However... as with all

of kundalini yoga, I think that we should always use our common sense and let

our body behave naturally.
