Guest guest
Greetings... Lately, I have been extremely emotional in my teachings. During our meditations I have been aware of an opening and thoughts that just flood from me. My students are getting a lot out of it, but I am extremely drained after. I'm also finding that I'm overly empathetic lately... while listening to people I'm actually finding it hard to breath at times when they start talking about painful things and my ears start ringing. I've always been a good listener and capable of keeping my emotions out of the way, but lately, its almost like I'm actually feeling their pain... REALLY feeling it, does anyone know what I'm talking about? have similar experiences? is this a growing time? or am I regressing? any thoughts? Guest guest
Dear Yogaonthego (we have to find you a name), In Sat Nam Rasayan it is taught that we need to balance between our sensitivity and our stability. That if our sensitivity is strong but our navel point is not "toned' and integrated, it would be easy to get Blown Away. My guess is that you teach for a living (?), and that your identity is that of being a teacher. It's in these times that your connection with your teacher (Yogiji?) will carry you. Without that connection, you are carrying the entire Karma all by yourself and you'll need to process it through as though it were yours. Do you practice real well. I think Archer Pose and Frogs will get you a stable core from which you can then look at all the emotional stuff. I speak from experience. Although I AM a guy, I am a double Pisces. If I had another major planet in Pisces, I probably wouldn't make it out of bed!! In the distant past, the information overload from my sensitivities have made me nearly catatonic. I know that if I am getting overloaded I need to work on my immunity, my sense of self. Know clearly what is me and what is not me. Where the world end and where I begin. (check out http://www.sahej.com/Ahamkara.html ). Also, it could be that you are just another human with imperfections and that your need to process is every bit as valid as your students' needs. What is your relationship with Yogi Bhajan?? Ever done Tratakam/Tratik Gazing? Forgive and be in your movement, dharam yogaonthego wrote: >Greetings... > >Lately, I have been extremely emotional in my teachings. Guest guest
Sat Nam Yogaonthego! Just read Dharam's reply to you and it made real sense to me what he said about establishing a sense of the Self and also gave me an idea about a kriya that could be really useful to you. It is called Essence of the Self (Shakta's book Kundalini Yoga) and it does exactly what it says! It's funny 'cause I was just teaching this for the first time these past few days and the people loved it but what is interesting is that it gave me a very clear sense of my Self, as a teacher and at the same time I experienced a great expansion of the Self...you know that we and the universe are one? well, I just felt it for the first time. I think the kriya will be interesting for you...good luck love and light marily sat atma Sponsor I'm a ManWoman seeking a WomanMan Enter city or ZIP Age: to Show only ads with photos "OUR DESTINY IS TO BE HAPPY" - Yogi Bhajan To UNSUBSCRIBE from this list, please send a blank email to Kundaliniyoga NO UNSUBSCRIBE REQUESTS TO THE LIST PLEASE!> WEB SITE: kundalini yoga KUNDALINI YOGA ON-LINE TRAINING.
