I even spent days fig out which kriya and med set i would do and the benefits it will give me etc..etc...to get me started .....aaaa....no action yet...Then on 6th i somehow did the kriya set for root chr only couldn't hold more than a few sec on each exercise of the set.... The fire of breath is out my comprehension so i just pressed my naval back and froth...too tiring tough.... and finished with kirtan and waheguru med. It's 14th today and i have not done it since. every night i sleep with alarm clock for 2- 3am .....yet don't get up .... everymorning i say to myself this is the day i will start and continue for atleast 40 days...... ( i know you would be wondering is this for real why don't i just get going ) To me to it seems strange..... Is there any one here who experienced the same. Any guidance as to what to do initially to get me started........ I read posts of you referring to be doing KY for years and i go would that be ever possible for me ............ Guest guest
Sat nam, Start with five minutes. Tuning in and 3 minutes of spinal flex every day in the morning before you have breakfast. Then work up to adding another exercise. Program yourself for success. SAt Nam, Gururattan Kaur
Guest guest
Hi there, I don't know you your name, but your problem is common: You want to climb the spiritual mountain in one step. The solution: Take it easy! No need to start with a full blown 2,5 hours Sadhana. Start with 10 or 20 min. Choose an easy set, eg. Spinal Flex. Slowly build up. Commit for an easy set for 40 days. Take the next set, add 10 or 20 min time, do a longer meditation and so on. In a year or so you'll do every morning 1 or 1,5 hours. And then Sadhana becomes easy, automatically and your desire / ability to do 2,5 hours will make it happen. And if you experience difficult time, not being able to devote yourself to the Sadhana and the set time, start again with a little bit less. Doing less and do it easy is much better, than wanting much and doing nothing... Simply be gentle with yourself - start climbing hills, before approaching mountains. SAT NAM from Shanghai, Adarsh S. Guest guest
Hello reetky, I used to have the same problem but i don't know if my advice is going to be much help to you. I kinda cheated my way into commitment by analyzing where my weaknesses lie. I as well had a lot of trouble getting up in the mornings. theres a couple of things that i do simultaneously that helps me in that area. First of all, I keep the bedroom windows open. Cold air helps in waking up easily. also i have a bright light connected to a timer that goes on 2 hours before the supposed waking up time since the body starts waking up sequence and reacting to the light. The most important of all is basically going to bed early enough. Somewhere around 10 O'Clock Hope that helps, Al
Guest guest
congratulations to you who have decided to commit to a 40 day meditation! even if you do three days, that is so much more than you did before!! wahe guru! someone, i wish i could remember who, a very wise woman on this list somewhere, once explained that this is how she manages to do her yoga every day: every day before she begins, when her mind starts presenting to her excuses about why she should not do yoga today, she tells herself that she can spend all day thinking of reasons not to do yoga, but first: SHE WILL DO YOGA! then she can while away all the minutes and hours left thinking of creative ways to avoid practice, but first: SHE WILL DO YOGA! she gives herself full permission to dream up ever more entertaining ways to slack her way out of doing yoga, AFTER SHE DOES YOGA!!! this helped me! try it!! sat nam, sue in seattle
