Guest guest
Dearest Krishan Kaur, I think it is possible and no problem, different paths can compliment each other, why not? A lot of people in this group are Christians and Yogis... and... and... There were some discussions before about this point. Gurunam for example has no problem to do Kabbalah and Kundalini Yoga, two ancient holy teachings, one is coming from the West, the other from the East. He says a Kabbalists needs Kundalini Yoga to create an integration of the mind, body and spirit and a Yogi needs Kabbalah to understand the laws of nature. This makes sense! No one, who ever tried it, would say Kabbalah is better or Kundalini Yoga is better. We have enough to do with Kundalini Yoga and study the teachings of the universal Kabbalah until the end of our life - or not? They are so rich. And I can't see a problem if someone adds something else to these teachings, if one can manage it, if one is very organized and has time enough... there are so many interesting things on earth. And they all come from one source. Your teachers are really very wise, a lot of people do nothing more then Window shopping, they will never understand deeply, what Kundalini Yoga or any other way can give to them. But I think like you, it's good for that time, when you are looking for a way that could be your way - one day our heart, not your mind, will really be touched, and this is the day we can make a choice and stay with one path for a long time or perhaps forever. For me the most important thought is to see God in every holy teaching and that may be also a reason for some people, who are normally Yogis, to read a book about other teachings or even to visit a workshop sometimes - afterwards your mind will be much more open and you can go straight on your own way, because you know even more then before: God is living in everyone, in everything, in every teaching... and they are all just different ways to the same: God, Infinity... how ever we call it. Nobody should say: My way is the only one or the best one - not even Kundalini Yogis ;-) - this is one of the reasons for destruction and suffering since humans are living on the earth. Blessings to all Sonja
Guest guest
Sat Nam...I would agree with all of you lovely ladies as well... When I think about why I investigate other spiritual paths it's because my goal is to experience connection and merger in every endeavor.... and it's through deeply understanding myself and others that I begin to experience that. I'm like the other's who've responded, in that I have a hard time not seeing different spiritual paths ultimately connected to one another. I find the more opportunities I have to hear a spiritual teaching from another perspective the greater or fuller my understanding of the teaching becomes. Although I mainly practice KY as my path, I am involved in several different healing modalities, and at any given time, which every modality is most appropriate arises and I use it.....same thing could go for spiritual practices I would imagine.....whatever speaks to your heart...use it!
