Guest guest
Sat Nam Jodie, Are you another Gemini? Six personalities? Doing something different, every so often, has it value. If you are able to go deep, you certainly haven't wasted your time. Just be with whatever you have going on, on this particular day. Eventually, you may stumble onto something that exactly addresses a core issue or need and end up doing that same Kriya for months or years. I always suggest folks look at their Numerology (free reading www.3HO.org) to see what sets might work for their particular situation. Yoga is, after all, about getting out of our "comfort zone" to find a newer, more expansive sense of comfort. A re-definition of comfort. Through that we have a deeper relationship with the Self. Also, having turned things inside-out a little, we have a chance to re-orient our perspective to one of the Heart aka Neutral Mind aka Yogic Mind. Where we "command" our feelings in service of the Self, which will open up all the treasures. In this is implied a sense of where you want all this to end up. Otherwise, we are limiting ourselves to creating energy which feels good, but has no context or direction. Think on what your intention is and start being/resonating it (or at least faking it, until it actually becomes real). Guest guest
Sat Nam Jodie, Why don't you try this : Start a 40 day sadhana where you will do a different kriya for every day! I did this at a time in my life when I found it impossible to focus to only one kriya because I really felt the need to try everything! And it worked fine. By the end of the 40 days I was feeling a huge need to concentrate on one kriya finally. And don't cheat (hi,hi) you can't repeat the same kriya twice on these 40 days..it has to be 40 different kriyas. Guest guest
Marily Sat Atma, what a spanking nifty idea! i think i thought of this before, but i didn't want to experience it out of sequence, y'know, like, say maybe my lower triangle needs development before i move to the higher ones-- or maybe i could do chakra-specific kriyas , moving up for each day of the week! and when you say kriya, do you mean a whole exercise/meditation set or just one specific exercise or meditation per day? love and light! jodie
Guest guest
Hey Jodie, When I say kriya I mean a whole set with asanas meditation relaxation..you know a full yoga class to yourself...and if you want you can plan the sequence for every day with chakras and everything like you said. However, what I noticed, for myself is that whenever I tried to plan a sequence for a whole week or so..it never materialised cause very often the energy takes care of things and you suddenly have the urge to do a specific set instead of the one that your mind has planned...this happens to me when I teach too, so I guess ..just trust the universe for guidance, it works well! love and light marily sat atma Sponsor "OUR DESTINY IS TO BE HAPPY" - Yogi Bhajan To UNSUBSCRIBE from this list, please send a blank email to Kundaliniyoga NO UNSUBSCRIBE REQUESTS TO THE LIST PLEASE!> WEB SITE: kundalini yoga KUNDALINI YOGA ON-LINE TRAINING. Guest guest
Sat Nam everyone, As a double Gemini and almost a triple Gemini (moon is 27 degrees in Cancer) , I understand how you feel . I've been doing kY for three years now and I still can not get it together to do a 40 day kriya . I have no problems with the 40 day meditations at all . I finely put together a daily routine : Sunday I work with Gurmakh's video, Monday is chakra day, I work with GuruTEJ Kaur's video Chakra Yoga , which means I will not get any sleep Monday night . Tuesday to Saturday I do a routine for physical and mental vitality form Shakta Kaur Khalsa book Kundalini Yoga . When I am not doing a kriya I do a short set form Your Life is in Your Chakras , by Gururattan Kaur Khalsa . I lose my focus a lot which is something I am working on now . I am doing the Meditation for the Divine Shield and I only have nine days left . I seem to work better with videos and in classes . Start with a 40 day meditation and see how works for you . You just have to be really persistent about your yoga practices , the benefits are wonderful . Blessing and light to you . Peace, Light and Love to all, Sadhana kaurGet more from the Web. Guest guest
hey marily that's cool that you teach. all i have are my books and sometimes since i don't know the kriyas by heart my way of trying to decide is to flip through and choose one. thing is, sometimes my intellect tries to pick one without taking my body/emotions into account...sometimes i find out the one my brain picked is not the one i really needed. i wish there was some way to divine which kriya i need for a given day. i don't think the descriptions of what actually happens in your body as you do the kriya are elaborate enough. i like to know what the kriya is doing so i can focus on that. i guess i'm stuck between scientific curiousity and a need to believe blindly in magic! sat nam jodie
Guest guest
Hi Jodie, ...and good month! It is a flower day today, the 1st of May, beautiful vibe on the streets. I understand what you're saying and believe me all I have is my books too, cause I did my teachers training course last year in London and I live in Greece! So, I would say just start doing and things will come to you. As you practice kundalini yoga your sensitivity and awareness will become more subtle and powerful at the same time, so guidance will come to you in the form of ideas. You will think that you have an idea but basically, that is the guidance from above..at least that's how I perceive it. So don't spend too much time thinking and worrying about it, just start doing and everything will start to make sense. The more you practice the more you get connected. Trust the energy, that's the most amazing thing about kundalini, especially if you're a new teacher..you just tune in and let the energy work through you..isn't that great? Have a lovely sunny flower day! love and light marily sat atma Sponsor "OUR DESTINY IS TO BE HAPPY" - Yogi Bhajan To UNSUBSCRIBE from this list, please send a blank email to Kundaliniyoga NO UNSUBSCRIBE REQUESTS TO THE LIST PLEASE!> WEB SITE: kundalini yoga KUNDALINI YOGA ON-LINE TRAINING. Jodie...this reminds me of being in class with my teacher....he'll never tell us what it is that we are working on, prior to the set....we just begin and you have to pay attention to what the experience brings to you? Afterwards I always ask him what we were working on....sometimes I get a grunt...sometimes I get an answer...and sometimes I get an explanation.....every class is a box of chocolates...I never know what I am going to get! From my teacher OR from the set! ha ha! Actually...there is one thing I know I will get....every set or Kriya will either stir up all my limitations, so that they rise up in front of my eyes with no way to avoid them...Or.....it will stir up the Divine within me and I'll rise up out of the ashes! Personally...I prefer the rising out of the ashes scenario.....who wouldn't? But I recognize the other is required just as much to evolve! Guest guest
hi suzanne thanx for yourfeedback...my boyfriend is a double gemini virgo rising. i'm a virgo, so it shouldn't be surprising that i am indecisive and overanalytical about my yoga practice. i am starting to practice the set for the lower chakras in this week's set on yogatech. it has yielded geat results so naturally i will try to stick with this one.
