Guest guest
Hi everyone Anne Marie here, One of my students has Primary Lymphedema her system plugs up,(her words not mine) and her body holds on to the lymphatic fluids. Can anyone suggest any good poses or breathing that would be beneficial to her? Sat Nam Anne Marie.
Guest guest
Dearest Anne Marie this is typical - nearly nobody knows something about lymphedema. I really know it because I have the same problem. I think a lot of breathwork would be good, walking... and don't give up the trust into selfhealing. Guest guest
Dear Sonja and Anne Marie,Hi, I do not know about any kundalini yoga exercises but have you heard of a technique called lymphatic drainage? I strictly trained therapist (usually a massage therapist that is an energy worker as well) uses specific hand movemets to manually push the fluid and help drain it. It moves 10-20 liters i think, compared to the usual 2 a body would move by itself during the course of a day. I am not sure if it is liters or what but i remember the numbers. I was having it dont to help my system after i was in bed for three monthes with a terrible case of pneumonia. the therapist working on me told me it is also taught to people who hvae no lymph tissue and must work manually veryday on the areas without the lympht tissue. It is very light and calculated work. Maybe this would help. -jennifer- The New Search - Faster. Easier. Bingo.
Guest guest
Sat Nam Anne Marie, There are many KY sets that work on the Lymphatics. Do you have 'Transitions to a Heart Centered World <cgi-bin/htmlos.cgi/00953.1.4488823347210940087>" ? (see cgi-bin/start.cgi/store/shop.html?showcat=p or cgi-bin/htmlos.cgi/00953.1.4371554370510940087) There are a number of good sets in this book. Lymphatic system has been correlated with the watery emotions whether here or in our psychic relations. The sadness, the remorse and also self-pity. "Self pity is a form of defensiveness as a way of denying desires. The idea of powerlessness to cause change." To improve or remedy the situation she needs to give, with passion, so that she may create and fulfill her desires. This is the change in action that will create a permanent healing and not simply temporary relief from the symptoms. She needs to create clear mental images of her needs and directing effort toward them with her will. We control our environment by giving freely without condition or thoughts of being owed something in return. She can expand her sense of free will and capacity for choice and with a good set and meditation. A number of sets for Lymphatics require very powerful and rapid motions. I want to stress that part of any set she or you choose. If in the description it says moving quickly, it means damn near as quickly as humanly possible!! That's how the lymphatics like to be worked and that's how Yogiji has taught it. Dearest Jennifer, yes, I know it, but it didn't help anything. It could be fine to get these treatments for some people, because they are really soft and I know a lot of people like it. I had some really bad experiences with the doctor who was the founder of lymphatic drainage. I was 19 years young, when the symptom slowly came. And I lived near his hospital. So I thought: Oh, I am lucky! My uncle told me about this possibility and of course I went there full of hope, without any doubt and no thought, that I could have this symptom perhaps for the rest of my life. This doctor told me: Come here, you will get a lot of treatments, one or two every day and after four weeks everything will be fine. Hahaha (hello Sat Sangeet :-) nothing was fine. It was the same as before. And this doctor said, he knew that before and I have to live with it. The result: I lost my faith into doctors. The good thing was, I learned a lot about healing techniques and I work with other people to help them on their way to more health. Years ago I went to a second hospital, sometimes three times a week, early in the morning, before I had to work with handicaped people. And I felt much more ill at that time, because I went to hospital, got a treatment, it doesn't help anything, I had to come again some days later... and it doesn't help again... I saw all these people who were ill... again and again... At that time I often was very sad and sometimes really depressed, because I was a young and pretty woman, who was never ill until that time. And now I had such a big problem. No shoes, no clothes... I am grateful, because I am strong and my real face isn't sadness, I love to laugh and to have fun and I enjoy my life anyway. In the meantime I prefer to do yoga and meditation, and I walk a lot with our dog. One big problem - the biggest perhaps! - with this symptom is really your inner hopelessness and a kind of weakness, you can't imagine, that you have enough power to heal yourself, and so it's not easy to stay with your yoga practice or anything else, because you want to see a result. Immediatly! And I never saw only a little result! Even if you know and tell everybody else: selfhealing is the only way... in your own case it's really hard to believe it and don't give up. I hope, I can do my yoga exercises and meditations more and more without thinking: I do it, because I want to heal this problem as quick as possible. Instead of that I should just do it regulary, because my soul knows and feels it is good for the whole person. And perhaps one day physical healing is a wonderful side effect. Then as a grandmother I will wear leather trousers, short skirts, bootees and other funny things... Thank you for your advice, dearest Jennifer and blessings to you and all in this group Sonja
