Guest guest
Sat Nam J, You say, you are not sure, whether spirituality is your quest or not? Then you go on to say...I am on a quest to become a better person and experience a more fulfilling life for both you and your son. The quest of spirituality, "is" the process of becoming your "True person or being"....a more fulfilled you. When you experience a heavy load to bear in life....I believe the quest of spirituality IS the one saving grace....without some experience of your True nature (which is what the spiritual quest can provide).....we can become crushed by the weight....we can become so utterly wrapped up in the goings on and dramas of our individual stories that we loose sight our goal....which is to ultimately be happy. What we learn or come to experience through following a spiritual path is that the circumstances of our life may remain "heavy"...but our relationship to them can evolve....meaning we find a way to be "okay" in any circumstance, no matter how daunting. This ability to feel "okay" in the center of Hell is the experience of remembering your True Identity...as spark of the Divine Light. The only place to start is at the beginning...meaning make a small committement to practice the basics of KY for a 3 month period...no matter how much you resist doing it and then observe how you feel differently after those 3 months.....what you experience may convince you to try alittle more? Who knows? There are few Sutra's one can use in dark times to help them come to face the Light... 1) "There is a way through every block"....not just some...all! No situation is impossible to move forward in a positive promoting direction for everyone involved. Often where we get caught up is, in our inability, to imagine what that way might be....We don't have to have the answer...the answer will come, if we can surrender to this belief. 2)"When time is on you, move and the pressure will be off..." start...begin somewhere no matter how small...movement will get the positive mind working a little better for you and that will help to pull you alittle out of the negative and a little more towards some positive solutions. Sat Kriya will help with depression and a whole lot of other things as well....practice it daily 3-11mins. Refer to Gururattan's on line course for directions or purchase a manual. You may need to seek out someone to help motivate you...go to a class or purchase a video. You may need to seek out some sort of healing/counselling to help you move through some of this heaviness? Or seek some Eastern or Western medical advice for the post partum symptoms? There may be alternative therapies to assist? I don't know what area that you live in? Do they have a KY studio? Any KY studio with pre-natal yoga programs would probably be a place to begin looking for support around post partum depression. They could guide you. The thing about feeling negative..is that no matter what anyone suggests..you will more than likely negate it...due to being "stuck" in a negative frame of mind....so you have to make a "choice" to do something that will stimulate the positive mind in order to unstick you...then you will be able to entertain more possibilities of how you might begin to create the life that you actually desire. This advice by no means...is the be all and end all...it's just meant to be some "how do I begin...when I feel like I can't do it" kind of advise....it's a starting point. Many Blessings to you and your family, Sat Sangeet Kaur P.S. to stimualte the positive mind try practicing any exercise which works the abdominals.
